This is as dumb as people throwing shade at Tim Walz for having connections in the CCP.

Walz is the governor of a state. We do gobs of business with China. It stands to reason that Walz would have contacts in the Chinese government. It doesn’t make him a Chinese agent - as some wacky people here suggested.

It also stands to reason that Elon Musk would have contacts with Russia and China. His companies do business around the globe, for chrissakes.

Things like this are why we call this time of year silly season. People get bent out of shape over silly things…and look silly because of it.

There may be - there may not be. It really depends on the nature of their dealings, doesn’t it?

My point is that there’s nothing shocking or surprising about a global business leader having conversations with foreign leaders of governments. Nobody would care…if he wasn’t front and center in the presidential election.

I remember when Rex Tillerson was getting this same stupid treatment about Putin during his confirmation hearings.

Uh…yeah, he was the CEO of ExxonMobil. It’s not very surprising that he would have dealings with the president of one of the world’s largest oil/gas exporters.

These idiots were implying he was Alger Hiss for this.
