The first thing that has to happen is glass has to go. The ones saying Donovan, Wright, or Bennett are insane. None of them are going to leave a job they are successful at and walk into a hornets nest. You would definitely have a chance with Alford/Marshall. Either one would be a good choice but glass has to go first if you want to see any real changes

I'd be somewhat worried about that if we actually did fire someone early. However, we haven't for 50+ years. Other schools have fired coaches after 2 or 3 years and they were still able to hire big time coaches.

Alford was at UCLA since 2013 before being canned. If Archie is still struggling after year 4 I'll have no issues admitting he needs to go. I'm not guaranteeing he's the answer. I just know we have to let him have a chance to prove it one was or another.
Donovan has always come across as a decent guy and he probably turned UK down because they were in the same conference and he didn’t want to spend his first 2-3 years at UK playing against kids he recruited to play for him at Florida. Just a guess. I’ve never heard or read where he’s actually said that.

Nope - Mike Shula lasted 4 years before getting canned (was given an extension after his 3rd season; fired with 1 game left).

Alabama didn't fire Fran, he fired them (in effect), but they did fire Shula and Price and Dubose--they basically had no choice with Price and Dubose after everything hit the fan
