The NCAA needs to change their Selection Committee makeup to not include any Division 1 athletic or administrative personnel. There is too much on the line to trust that bias doesn’t exist, especially when a $104,000 bonus is in play. And, who knows what NC had to “contribute” to get their guy in the Chairperson slot. Don’t tell me that having him leave the room negated the bias.
NCAA should utilize Division 2 or 3 personnel or perhaps even a CPA firm. And, let everyone know the priority of the metrics that will be used before season begins. It is too easy for a committee to be selective about what metrics they used to support their case.
