I know the name Tim Wilbur from the IU record books and he always comes up on lists of best all-time players for IU. But according to his college football reference page, he missed the 1981 season (would've been his 4th year had he played).
It seemed strange when I looked it up, but I can't find any old news articles as to why? Injury? Fight with the coach? Personal reasons (if personal, it's not anyone's business what it was)?
And a hoosier huddle post about him mentions that he didn't graduate, which seems odd for someone who was there for 5 years. It also seems odd that someone with his accolades didn't get a shot at the NFL, particularly back then when the draft had like 12 or 15 rounds or something.
