The menu shortcut bar in the posting box here has gone gray on mi IPad meaning I can’t use any of the shortcuts for fonts, indent, images or video. As far as I know I didn’t touch any settings. I’ve tried rebooting everything to no avail. What happened?

The menu bar on my IPhone also went gray, months ago, but I didn’t care because I didn’t post much with my phone. Now my phone has gone black again so the shortcuts are all available. I didn’t touch any settings on my phone either.

While it didn’t make any sense, I thought maybe only one device would show the shortcuts, so I shut them both down and restarted the IPad. Noting changed.

What to do?

1. On your IPhone go to settings
2. Scroll down to your safari tab and click it
3. Scroll down to clear history/website data and click clear history

It should take care of the issue. This is also something you should be doing periodically if you frequently visit porn sites 😉

On the menu bar still should be 3 vertical dots, click it. That should open up a an icon that looks like two brackets ( [] ), click it. Everything should return.

My mouse centric "click" can be converted into whatever we call it for using our fingers.
