The Serious Election Day Thread

Probably. And based on his rhetoric around tariffs, which won't get passed. That's why I said sugar high.

He is inheriting a decent economy. Hopefully he won't tinker too much and drive us off the rails.

Likely doesn't need any Congressional approval for tariffs.

Small cap stocks are on fire. They also had a big run up in 2016 right after election.

How come you didn't delete it? Of course goat and Mark delete stuff that I wouldn't but I probably delete things they wouldn't. I probably delete more stuff from posters on my side than the other side... I know Mark or goat will be blamed. 🤣 I think a serious thread should be labeled as such and let people know posts outside the subject will be deleted. i'm kind of a hands off moderator.
That’s what it was supposed to be. Mark took a backhand slap at his and the Dems view of Republicans. That asinine view is one of the reasons they lost.

We were guaranteed to have a bad candidate win and we did. It will impact my personal life not at all.
The only affect on my life is the few tax returns I do in semi retirement will have happier results.

There is still a lot of money on the sidelines. I think the market might have a ways to run into year end. A think there will be a lot of people chasing.

It is refreshing, however, to have a regime dismissed, with extreme prejudice, that would actively threaten employers to terminate those that don't buy into their party's cultish, and failed, forced act of allegiance.
Agree 100%

“Can you believe I’ll never do another one?” (Paraphrase, but Trump acknowledging in his talk/speech last night that he is done with campaign rallies - so he apparently plans to follow the Constitution and leave office rather than stay on after this term. Democracy preserved.)

Snarl I have a stray TD Ameritrade now Schwab account with $25,000 that I play with some minor day trading. At the end of 2022 I set up a Coinbase account with the purpose of transferring $25,000 to buy Bitcoin. I got busy and didn’t follow through. 😂

Trump improved by 5 points in Lackawanna County (Scranton) compared to 2020 numbers
Seeing reports that 180k Amish first-time voters were registered by RNC in Pennsylvania. A study conducted by Arizona Christian University, released October 8th, revealed a huge, untapped reservoir of Christian and other people of faith who don't vote. The sample size was small, but a much larger, more comprehensive study is in the works.
The vilified Christian Nationalists are just getting started tapping this resource.

What did you do?
Had too many years of seniority
Signed on with too high of base salary and then with commish on top made me a red flag
Sales have been flat since covid
Didn't fit into the new VP's clic.
Spent too much time on the cooler.
That about sums it up.

I was going to do the same thing but then decided to buy IBIT which tracks the price of Bitcoin.... a lot less trouble to me.

That hurts. This isn't advice, but ETFs like IBIT can be bought in Schwab and they are required to buy Bitcoin to match the amount of shares purchased.
