Post-modern roots?
Maybe misunderstanding question but the group is Post Modern Jukebox. There is a guy in charge of it all and they have rotating vocalists and musicians. They have hundreds of videos that is reimagining more modern music as throwbacks to the more pre-rock era (although you see some 50's and 60's get in there a bit with doowop and motown influences).

Just fishing and hoping TMP will stop by and inform us which roots exist and which don't

Long ago I heard someone say Jackson spoke to the west coast, Bruce to the east, and Bob to the middle. I liked all 3, but Bob was my favorite. In Indy about 10 years ago he skipped a verse of Turn the Page, he said he never had messed up that song before.
