I remember many of the trollers but must have had you on ignore. Remember Amen Corner?
the biggest problem is that we have 3-4 posters here that are dead set on derailing every thread into PU nonsense.
Look at any crap thread. The same 3-4 people (let me be clear: They claim to be IU fans, and spend all of their time calling others PU trolls) are ALWAYS at the center of the garbage.
I really don’t understand why it is allowed. If I were a mod I would ban any poster that continues to be down in the mud with this crap.

He is young, maybe late 20s. He should know the ins and outs of what is legal at this point.

As a single, inexperienced professional who worked every winter weekend back then, those guys were my daytime tether to the outside world. Many times, they made me laugh until I cried.
Now I always suspected AC was Chatmans.

Gojko...jesus christ what a buffoon. He and some of the other non-grad Knight - o -philes created HoopLoops (sp) which was a vile racist forum that hated IU for the firing and Mike Davis for being a black scapegoat.
Many long chats with Heller (rip) the Annual Forum Idiot Award that backfired on him was ep-ic.
My entre to this world was clear back on the AOL forums that ran horizontally. Some of it runs together between AOL, Early Peegs, StarNews, later Peegs and this place. Maybe it is time for prevegen.
As raw as all this is, I am not sure anyone knows all of the legal ins and outs, especially a twenty something. I am just glad Glass is involved from that perspective.
I don't think so but Ducati was the same ilk (although Gojko was a grad). Ducati was a Knight-o-phile that was on the HoopLoops site then became a pu fan and mayor of GBI.
Gojko was from the Hebron area IIRC and Ducati/Twinlackofanydegree may have been from New Castle as he was an Alford fan as well as Knight but as with so many back then never set foot in Btown.
Ducati/TW2 definitely claimed to be from NC. Given his remarks and general demeanor, it's definitely believable.
Just as I figured you can't deny KW toughened up the soft culture that was IUFB. Coach Allen has continued the hardening.
Kevin Wilson tried to establish a real football culture. Glass fired him unceremoniously, which ruined his career. Glass then hired LEO to keep with the soft theme.
surfboard should have fired crean after year 3, as IU had lost TWELVE in a row! Stevens was in play, along with several other top coaches. SbF blew it. The rest is history. By the way, Butler was runnerup for Cody, so he would have stayed with IU.
Wilson’s treatment of injured players was not the only problem. He had some off the field issues that made it necessary to let him go.
He had taken this program as far as he was going to. His last year would have been a disaster if he hadn’t hired Allen. For someone who was supposedly an offensive genius, he couldn’t recruit a good QB and Allen’s defense is the only reason they didn’t have a losing record Wilson’s last year. If he was such a good coach, why hasn’t someone else hired him?
I don’t think IU would have been in position to get Stevens or any other top coach firing Crean in year 3 considering the mess he walked into. I think IU would have struggled to get a guy like Groce at that point.
Wilson mistreated players just like Sampson made illegal phone calls. Are you seeing a theme yet? Glass generated cause to fire him. Sudfeld has been in the league since he was drafted in 2016. Wilson made a bowl his final two seasons, and was returning almost all starters the year following his firing. Allen followed with two 5-7 seasons to “rebuild.”
Gojko isn't dead or anything. We have some mutual friends and are members of a list-serve. I get e-mails from him through it.

That’s not true. There were parents threatening a lawsuit. Several players who had been injured said similar things.
I think I WAS speaking for myself. And, I don't want to hurt your feelings but when I posted, I was posting in response to the message and not to the person who posted the message. I was not even sure who you are . . .
Parents complain about the coach on every sports team, but instead of backing him Glass threw him under the bus.
Yeah, ok. Maryland did the same. Texas Tech had a pretty big scandal too. That stuff can ruin a program and lives. Is winning more important? These weren’t just random kids either. You do realize he had other major issues. If anything he was a really bad choice.
Again, there were some significant off-field problems with Wilson that factored Into this.
At least we agree that Wilson was going to win at IU. Also, many non “random” players came to Wilson’s defense in the aftermath. Hopefully Aqueous Allen can win a conference game next year.

Sorry don't buy that about Coach Allen. He's as tough as they come but uses a different approach with a different demeanor. Soft football culture of IU is over and Allen is responsible for half the accomplishment and achievement.
Yes, and once AD Glass recognized his man was well along in accomplishing the #1 goal he was hired for, to toughen the program. The lawyer calculated Wilson's faults and shortcomings creating the change of direction needed for the next goal. Kevin Wilson served exactly the purpose he was hired to do, be a tough bastard.
Last year they collapsed under the pressure of expectations. It’s a hallmark of soft teams.
You act like injuries to our key guys had absolutely no impact on how the season went. We were playing a true freshman that got ZERO first team snaps until he was forced to play and was paired with two walk on running backs at the end of the year.
That's not normal.
Injuries is why they lost 38-3 against Rutgers at home. Got it.
