Georgia loses to GT to go 9-3
Tenn loses to Vandy to go 9-3
Bama loses to Auburn to go 8-4 (downgrades Tenn's only major win)
A&M loses Texas to go 8-4*
S Carolina loses Clemson to go 8-4
SMU beats Cal to go 11-1*
Miami beats Cuse to go 11-1
ND beats USC to go 11-1
IU beats PU to go 11-1*
PSU beats Maryland*

*highly likely

Texas blows Georgia out in the SEC championship which puts Georgia at 9-4 with including 4 loses in their last 7 games against power conference teams

Playoff is Oregon, OSU, PSU, IU, Texas, ND, B12 champ, G5 champ, SMU, Miami with Georgia/Tenn sneaking in but have to play 1st round road games

I heard on SiriusXM channel 84 this morning [the College FB Channel], Texas qb, Quinn Ewers hurt his ankle in the Kentucky game this past Saturday & if he can't play in their game this week @ Texas A&M, Arch Manning would have to play. If so, that could put aTm back in play for a CFP spot if they beat Texas?

I think USC beats ND, which would (should) knock out ND with 2 losses to unranked teams.
I hope they beat Notre Dame, but I don’t think they will. If they lose, I hope it knocks them out of the playoff, but I don’t think that it will. But it would move us up into a potential hosting spot instead of traveling.

I suppose media bias and politics could (will) come into play if ND loses to USC, but a home loss to an unranked N Illinois (3 and 4 in MAC play, 6 and 5 overall), and a loss to unranked USC (4 and 5 in B10 play, 6 and 5 overall) should be enough to not make the CFP. USC did beat LSU and thoroughly beat Wisky. ND’s best win was week 1 at Texas A&M, but then they lost to N Illinois the next game at home.

USC plays tough at home. Their new QB of two games has a great arm and runs better than the previous starter. Defense is better. Of course there is the bias factor with me hating ND and think USC can beat them every year. LOL

There are all sorts of ways IU can still land a home playoff game and it does not even have to be this bad. Just a few more “upsets” like we had last weekend and it could still happen.
I think the easiest route to an IU home playoff game is getting 2 of Tenn/Miami/ND to lose all of which are playing on the road against at least a semi competent opponent. I’d put it above 50% that at least one of those loses and maybe closer to 20% that 2 lose. The doomsday scenario was more about lol’ing at the SEC

The "best" thing that could happen is the SEC getting as many teams in as possible, and ALL of them losing their first games. If that were to happen, all the pundits should be required to be publicly shamed, starting with Finebaum.

The best thing that would come from it, though, is less of this faulty narrative that the SEC is the only conference worthy of factoring in how much they beat up on each other. Watching Bama get drilled by Oklahoma leads me to question whether or not they'd have 2,3,4 losses playing IU's schedule, let alone just 1. Only half joking on that.

For whatever reason, the Tenn fans have been the nastiest toward IU and the playoff situation; for that reason I hope Vandy ruins their season. The Vols seem to forget IU gave them a game (and likely should have won) in the Gator bowl not so long ago. I have no doubt the Vols are much better this season but this IU team is far and away better than the team that was able to hang with them in the bowl game. Hell, GA beat them 31-17 in Athens; not so much less than OSU beat IU AND IU gave them two possessions inside the 10.
