Ok.

Purdue won the Bucket and 6 games.
We lost the Bucket and won 5.
Purdue is "on the way" and we suck and took a huge fall into the abyss.

Sooo, I compared Ramsey to Purdue.
(I didn't have time to split the Purdue results between their QB's, so we have to live with percentages)

Purdue "scored" on .318% of their drives.
Purdue scored a TD on .218% of their drives
Purdue scored a FG on .128% of their remaining drives(i.e. taking out the TD drives and comparing FG to what is left)
Purdue threw a INT on .068% of their drives.

Ramsey "scored" on .337% of his drives
Ramsey scored a TD on .202% of his drives
Ramsey scored a FG on .169% of his remaining drives
Ramsey threw an INT on .067% of his drives.

If you look at Power 5 games only:

Purdue "scored" on .292% of their drives
Ramsey "scored" on .363% of his drives

Purdue scored a TD on .204% of their drives
Ramsey scored a TD on .163 of his drives

Purdue scored a FG on .111% of their remaining drives
Ramsey scored on .239% of his remaining drives.

I don't think it would be fair to say that "with Ramsey" we are in the abyss while Purdue is "on the way."

But I will note that in his 5 Power 5 games, Ramsey threw fewer TD's.
Then again, in those 5 he got to face Michigan, MSU and Penn State.

Just saying...

I think THIS team can win with Ramsey/Dawkins/Penix used as determined by coaches and need.

The difference between 5 wins and 7 last year was pretty thin.
That both encourages and hurts like hell.
The bad thing about being so close is being so close.
The good thing about being so close is you are close.
