How can IU have so many skilled and accoplished coaches and NOT be able to shoot free throws, shoot 3 pointers, or play defense??? Someone...anyone please weigh in on this.

I don’t get the defensive part: it can be taught. The others as well but not as easily as it is more in line with coordination. What you see is that the team is missing some key components after last year’s graduation and coming up short in recruiting for this year.
I get that there's some natural ability required but anyone who is playing D1 basketball should be able to learn to shoot free throws. They are always the same. It's a matter of repetition and muscle memory, and any coach at that level should be able to spot and correct any errors in form. It's just mind boggling how poorly the team shoots free throws. We easily have several more good wins if we just could shoot free throws.
