going after price gougers I'm going to puke. The American public by and large has proven to be very stupid and to go into the weeds and try and explain to them what caused the high inflation the last couple of years would most likely be futile. she is making the same mistake Gore made when he lost to another dimwit, Gore ran from Clinton's accomplishments instead of embracing them. Bidens unpopular I get it, but he has steadied the country, done a better job with the economy than the rest of the industrialized world, and improved Americans standing in the world.

Trump is so ignorant on basically everything just let him hang himself amongst the undecided, she should use her money to rebroadcast his speeches on any platform she can find. tv, social media, radio. anyone who listens to the dumb son of a bitch and would still vote for him is a lost cause anyway.

A couple of my neighbors, one an architect the other works for a bank (went to Wash U) have bought the price gouging line hook, line, and sinker.

There are definitely legitimate criticisms of Harris, but they're all relatively miniscule to Trump's glaring red flags. I can't believe anyone who says they'll vote for Trump can look at her and say she's not smart or is critical of some of her answers to questions. I keep paraphrasing Robin Williams when this topic comes up, but it's apt.

A Trump supporter saying Harris is dumb or stupid is like a person with leprosy telling a person with acne that they look really bad.

That dudes wife is the worst.
The wash u and surrounding neighborhoods libs are the worst. Cars broken into nightly. Cops tell them keep nothing in their garages and leave the doors to the garages open. Zoo closed bc of fights. Their own school carnival closed bc of fights. Shootings. Carjackings. Yet they still have blm signs in their yards and vote cori bush. Insane. Woke

Shes not smart. But I'm not under any circumstance going to vote for a progressive democrat, or any most likely.

Do you think price gouging doesn't exist? Take it from me, living in a hurricane prone area, when a storm is named that has any chance at all of landing within 300 miles, gas goes up at least 10 cents a gallon overnight.

Ten cents ain't shit. They do twice that here on football weekends.
Bingo. It's a 3% increase on a $3 gallon of gas. That's not price gouging; it's microeconomics.

But yes, sometimes price gouging occurs. It doesn't explain our nationwide inflation across several sectors. The allegation is preposterous, as much as I'd love to sue Popeye's for that two-piece meal price.

Yeah, Harris is being unserious on this particular point. She needs to point to rising wages and if she wants to go the populist route she can claim that if your wages aren't rising to offset inflation then you're getting ripped off by your employer.

Or just Fing start blaming Biden for shit. Plausible deniability

I can't see how any red bloodied American can even consider casting a vote for Trump. He's the antithesis of what America is all about. He's rude, insulting, disrespectful, a liar, and has absolutely no respect for anyone. If you cross him today, you'll be in his crosshairs tomorrow. Those who are closely allied with him now, apparently don't realize or understand, that they can be his mincemeat at any time. Loyalty to him is above loyalty to the Constitution or to America. Consider this. America fired him four years ago. What has he done in the mean time to be rehired? I can think of nothing. He's only been deeply critical of his opponent and continues to bury himself with his crudeness. Eighty-one million Americans could not be wrong four years ago. America, please wake up. Not only is our democracy at home at stake, but our reputation and standing abroad is in jeopardy. You do remember how our allies viewed us, don't you. I love this country, want only the best for it, and just got to believe that most of you (electorally) want the same. Therefore, please go vote with only the love of country in mind.

That's all you can get away with in Florida, since Governor DeSantis implemented strict anti price gouging laws, though it only gets attention during weather emergencies. There's a state hotline to report gouging.

That nasty lib!

Do you think that most could agree that price gouging is a big problem and that more could be done to stop it? Its not the problem at hand but still a problem that could be addressed so we can all progress forward.

No, I don't. I don't see evidence of price gouging in the broad economy. Nor do I think it is a "big problem." I'm not even sure it shouldn't be legal:

When a business drastically raises prices, claiming they need to do so in order to stay in business, and months later their balance sheet show them breaking all records for sales and profit, something's wrong.
On most things you don't have to buy it but most people are suckers. You go to a restaurant and they charge $3 for a 30 cent cup of coffee and people pay it so who's dumb there.? Most places could raise the price of a Coke to $5 and people would still order a Coke. I do think part of the recent price increases were just businesses jumping on the "raising prices" bandwagon and hod nothing to do with their costs. If gasoline prices went to $5/gal now places would start raising their prices because of transportation costs but if 6 months later the price dropped back to what they are now places wouldn't lower their prices.

There obviously things that we all have to have to have and have no choice but to pay the going rate. However I will always be against the government trying to force their will on companies. The government's definition of negotiation and mine are completely different. I consider negotiation a back and forth with offers but the government says here's what you get and you may get fined if you don't take what we offer.

Yes you and Harris are spot on. It’s not her shitty policies it’s price gouging!! Every store, all across America, from big chains, to mom and pops, from the flooded lands of disaster zones in nc to states that haven’t had any issues at all are colluding to screw over the public.

Here’s an idea. Learn to think for yourself and stop falling in line with every stupid thing your progressive party puts out

Kudos for the "mincemeat" utilization.

Reminded me on a rabbit hole I went down the other day while reading about Patton. The simple, yet outrageousness of this scheme had me cracking up...

Have this on the schedule to watch once I get through Indiana/Nebraska 60 in 60...

Part of the wider Operation Barclay, Mincemeat was based on the 1939 Trout memo, written by Rear AdmiralJohn Godfrey, the Director of the Naval Intelligence Division, and his personal assistant, Lieutenant Commander Ian Fleming.

Notice that last name there?
