If Trump would say he is all in on a wide open border, support Iran in its fight against Israel, and stop fossil fuel use, and the GOP still nominated him, I’d probably leave too, but this isn’t that. At worst Trump is an awful human being with very good ideas about the country, I can cope with that. I guess it’s how individuals prioritize politics , policy, and personality.

I don’t mind a good argument. I don’t like someone who turns on you and browbeats just because they don’t like your opinion. We’ve lost any sense of civil discourse in this country. I’m not blaming that on MAGA. Both sides are so extreme it’s ridiculous. I talk to probably 30-40 people a day at my office. The vast majority even in an 80% Republican stronghold where I live are truly middle of the road moderates when you have a conversation with them. So many people get caught up in the nonsense during election time, though. Ironic that this tiny town boy who doesn’t deserve an opinion because of his home town happens to live in the type of town that if it didn’t exist…. Well Trump certainly wouldn’t have gotten elected
The media's "use your emotions" campaign has worked well on weak minded people. Probably has been soft since he was a kid. More than likely had an easy childhood and was rarely told no.
Funny I had full intentions of holding my nose and voting for Trump until he unveiled his MAGA bible. His exploitation of evangelical Christians and the ignorance of most thst they’re being exploited by a toxic narcissist was more than I can handle. Then the final nail was the “eating cats and dogs” nonsense. As Christians we’re called to love all humanity but especially the downtrodden, the weak, the lame, the foreigner, the alien, etc.. Using those Haitians as a political ploy to whip up anti immigrant frenzy was the end. The fact that he tried his damndest to rip up the Constitution on 1/6/21 should have been enough and I’m honestly embarrassed that I was still going to vote for him. Now I’m an anti woke, anti MAGA dude stuck in a political vacuum

You apparently are having a difficult time with sarcasm. My background is none of your business but since you brought it up.. my dad was a lifer repairman with Indiana Bell. You know. A good union man.. salt of the earth type guy. Mom was a teachers aide at an Elementary school. Solid middle class. Grew up in tiny town near Muncie. Not the kind of time or place where children weren’t told no. Got my ass beat plenty of times and deserved it every time. Didn’t take lavish vacations. Didn’t grow up with Ralph Lauren shirts. Knew how to do yard work as soon as I was old enough to push a mower. Worked shitty jobs at Burger King and in a corrugated paper factory as a teenager. Anything else I can tell you so you’ll leave me the hell alone???
