The so-called “voting rights” bill is a major concern much of which is likely unconstitutional. That bill is far left crazy stuff that polls show many Democrats don’t even agree with.

I think the idea that spending is "leftist" is played out, don't you? Same with expansion of government. Both parties love government power when the government is doing things they like.

Lots of democrats agree with voter id that bill would have done away with all of that stuff. That bill had nothing at all to do with voting rights and everything to do with makind election laws as loose as possible which would totally enable all the funny stuff to happen. Just go ballot harvest ballots from anyone but do not dare question where it came from or you are a racist.

Well, "totality and scope" might be a good reason to oppose it, but it's a bad reason to call it "far left." And the fact that it was scaled back supports my argument here, that it's more than just Sinema and Manchin preventing the entire party from flying off into cuckoo land.

Yeah, I don't buy that, but even if you are right, look at what got scaled back. Billionaire's tax. Paid family leave. These aren't the things that get the axe if the far left really has the power.
Regardless, I still think it's incorrect to perceive BBB as "far left" simply because it's so big. Some proposals are certainly more mainstream than others, but none of them are really radical.
I consider the largest social safety net in American history a far left goal. That said the far left is now just the left imo so labels may not matter anymore
This reeks of fear again. If anything left smells like far left, that's probably a you problem. Just as if I felt anything right was tantamount to extreme right, that would be a me problem. We need to maintain our ability to distinguish between different shades of political opponents.

Yes, we will have to disagree. I don't find progressive taxes to be "far left." I'm much more likely to see regressive taxes as "far right." I guess that's just our different subjective positions coming to light.
And nominating and electing Biden was crazier and far more destructive.
