Ten-twenty years ago, I'm guessing many of the parents saying their 3-year-old is trans would have been antivaxxers. A lot of weird sub-groups of people out there in America.
I think you two could have a rational and productive conversation here (actually, have already done it well) but it would be a lot better to drop the shitlib/MAGA labels and personal stuff.
I think you have a good faith position and Marv is pushing you on the margins. I believe you that you are not anti-vaxx but skeptical of the COVID vax. RFK Jr. clearly is skeptical, wants more transparency, but has said he won't take vaccines off the table.
It could be, though, that having a prominent person like him as Sec. of HHS will further depress vaccine #'s among the general populace to a dangerous level. Remember for most vaccines to work well, they have to be administered to a certain % of the population.

So even if he doesn't push law or policy that affects the vax rates, his attitudes might be legitimized in a way just from his appointment so as to cause harm to the US (and maybe the world).
Parents who demand that their kids be allowed to go to school, regardless of vaccination status, seem sort of woke.

You know, that game was the turning point with me for Crean. I was very sympathetic of him and appreciative of the fact he started from ground zero.
But that game was so inexplicable to me. Not that we lost, but that we had zero - ZERO - clue how to attack that zone. And he'd faced that same zone countless times when he coached Marquette.
To this day, it still pisses me off and it's just.... inexplicable is the only word to describe it.

Pretty much my experience. I had no boosters after the first vaccines and haven't got Covid I had it after I had the original vaccine.
I'm not sure the initial one had anything to do with it, since I never got Covid before that.
Well.....what was your figure on lives saved? 14.4 M? If 1 person died from bleach in his veins, the Donald would still be up 14.399,999. Meanwhile, most would have been dead if your hero, Fauci, had been in charge. As I recall, he said it would take YEARS to come up with an effective vaccine, if one was possible. You might even say he was a denier.
What other president in history can make a claim to having been responsible for personally saving 14M lives?
I find it very embarrassing that there are so many self-described Republicans that "know" so much that just isn't so. I'm hoping at least one of them will eventually understand that.

The middle is still here- I’m convinced the majority of Americans are fiscal conservative and socially liberal- neither party fits the bulk of us. Whichever party heads back to the middle will have a decade of winning.

Welp. RFK Jr is arguably the most progressive man on the planet. As long as he isn't able to do some of his extreme left stuff, like banning vaccines, then I am cool with this this. I remember not that long ago when the Obama administration tried to do a lot the same things RFK wants to do and the right flipped their shit. Good to see progress always wins as usual. But again, hopefully the conservatives reign him in a bit.
The way this administration is going well have Bernie Sanders as Secretary of Commerce next. Followed by Jerry Sandusky for department of education.
