IU football is great to watch. Guys play hard, are in the right positions, and play as a team. No rah rah clappy clappy bs on the sideline. Cig is all business. I hope IU becomes bowl eligible in October

Tom Allen and Walt Bell enter the season 'simplifying' because our QBs are all 'young' and 'inexperienced'. Sometimes heard that about other positions.
Cig enters the season with 'we have a standard' and whoever knows the playbook and executes it in practice will be the ones in the games .
Night and day. Funny how what should be normal stuff is such a breath of fresh air.
I know we haven't played anyone that tough yet, but is there any other QB in the League
playing as well as our guy so far?

When #10 (I think) blew up a Charlotte returner on special teams, there were coaches high stepping down the sideline and Cigs himself got all fired up giving him an atta boy.
Nothing wrong with ra ra. And just because Tom was and Cigs is not primarily that way, don’t act like he’s a stoic.
Doubt it! And yeah, he came in experienced.
Just can't envision Cig, Shanahan and Sunseri running draws because they couldn't get a QB up to speed quickly.

True. And, I am glad our leadership carries that mantra, the expectation of winning and no excuses. But, to be fair, this IU team, intentionally clearly by Cig, is extremely experienced at every position group. That would never be an issue, anyway.
Then again, the coaching staff obviously has direct control over how experienced or massively inexperienced, the the team is heading into any season. And Allen always seemed to be having to roll with some serious holes in experience at critical positions.
Rourke is high on the leader board in many NCAA stat catagories.
He’s a far better decision maker than IU has seen in a long time.
Sur praised him on an end zone overthrow where a LB was in position to attempt an interception.
Making the right decisions is over half the battle.
Indiana is very fun to watch! I feel like I must constantly temper my emotions and enthusiasm regarding this 4-0 start. While we haven't played any top teams, the wins have all been in grand fashion.

Seeing big name programs struggle at the QB position while IU has a bonafide star puts a smile on my face. It shows the recruiting and evaluation ability of the coaching staff.
I did forget what Cig himself even said, when he said he was being given things the previous staff didn't get. Then later when asked about how the NIL was at Indiana he said it was good, and 'more than I was promised'.
Makes it easier to stock up with that experience.
