Recruiting why it sucks...............

Please name the McD's who played on the two teams that played for the National Championship last year. Those were dedicated team players playing in a system demanding maximum basketball intellect, discipline and effort. They did not have the best players in the country. They were the best TEAMS.
Kyle Guy definitely was. The main 2016 class that were seniors last year (Guy, Jerome, Hunter, etc) had 4 top 60 players in it. They didn’t win with a bunch of low end guys ranked around 100 or lower.

What about coaching and improving a player’s ability?
Coach Knight was pretty good at it, albeit mostly in an era where kids rarely left early. Many kids improved, but some didn't and transferred.

Archie has had 2 off-seasons. Juwan Morgan improved a ton. Smith and Durham have improved. Romeo was a little worse than we hoped, but TJD is better than we expected. The teams overall metrics are good on D, improving each year. The O is a different story. I still think wait and see is the appropriate position. The team has improved each year, including this year, although not necessarily at the rate we'd all prefer.

None of those guys were seniors. They all entered early.

Amazing, isn’t it - guys that had 3 years in the program ended up doing well.

Remember, however, how Virginia finished 2018? Top seed for the whole NCAA Tournament not only became the first to lose to a #16 seed, but got POUNDED in the process. Imagine had it been Archie in those shoes . . .

Just stop. Archie has to make the tournament first.

And again, UVA didn’t win with the recruits Archie is getting. He hasn’t landed 4 top 60 guys in his first 4 classes combined. Bennett got 4 top 60 guys in that one class.

He's only had 2 classes so far (next class isn't on the roster yet) and already has signed 3 top 60 guys in Langford, TJD and Hunter. You either just lied or you're stupid. There are no other possibilities. Your bogus "facts" are always too easy to prove false.

Facts are facts. Just because you don’t like them doesn’t nullify that fact.

You live in an alternate reality. I just gave you the actual fact, which shows that your “fact” is false, yet you continue to act as if your false “fact” is a fact. I’m seriously confused about whether you are a liar or stupid. There is no other possibility.

Bennett had more top 60 players in that one class than Archie has had in 4 classes at IU. Fact or fiction?

Please list the players. And don’t tell me things can change. Everyone knows that.

Ducati is nothing but a troll and a weird one at that. So it's probably a combination of both mixed with a mental disorder.

You really are a total idiot. Miller hasn't had four classes! He's had exactly two classes and they included 3 top 60 recruits. Next year's class would be Miller's 3rd class and it's undetermined whether any of his recruits will be top 60. 2021 will be his 4th class. Miller could have far more than 4 top 60 recruits in his first four classes, but he hasn't had four classes yet.

So Bennett had it in one class. Miller could potentially match him in four classes combined if all the stars align? Got it. Let’s just quit acting like they’re recruiting similar though.

But other than perhaps Guy, how many players on both teams were All-Americans when they were in high school being recruited? We're talking about finding high school kids who we can accurately predict will be elite college players. The point is that great teams can rise from group of players who aren't highly touted as high school players. Virginia and Texas Tech prove that. No one here knew of those guys before last years NCAA tournament began.

That was also Bennett's 8th year and 7th full recruiting class when he signed Guy, Jerome, Hunter, and Huff. Archie has 3 top 60 commits in 2 full recruiting classes. He'll blow that number out of the water by year 8 assuming he's still there.

So he’ll blow it out of the water in one year? Or in 8 years combined he’ll have more than Bennett’s one?

Virginia’s roster was mostly top 50-60 guys. Not a bunch of 100-150 guys like Archie is landing. That’s the reality.

Feepaw is stupid. He doesn't understand why his claim was false. He was good for laughing at before he was banned but he's worthless since he came back. I'm about to put him on ignore.

He hasn't been seen since Saturday night. IU wins must make him too sick to post for two or three days.

I suspect he, Ordfan and the gang will be back late today or tomorrow getting fired up for a potential loss to MSU.

Remember all of your guarantees that shockingly didn’t happen?

I've never made a guarantee about a damn thing, gramps. Only a stone cold idiot would make a guarantee about any sports... let alone one relying upon college kids.

How are you not a deca-millionaire with all your basketball knowledge... since you are so sure of yourself?

Who also happened to have two of the BEST COACHES in the game today, lil ARch can hold the jock of Bennett and Beard.
Hey dumbass! Did you look at Bennett’s record his first three years at Virginia. He was 15-16, 16-15 and 22-10. The third year he had a schedule softer than Indiana’s before conference play. Don’t go acting like Bennett stepped in at Virginia and was instant success. You’re an idiot.

Go look at how John Groce did his first three years at Illinois. That’s the better comparison.
