slightly off topic, but applicable. Considering the last decade of pain and suffering we have had to endure. I assume many have turned to the bottle. What’s everyone’s favorite type of whiskey? I’ll lead off. My go to is High West.

I can get a 1.75 liter of Jim beam for 23 bucks at Sams. Times like this, its not quality but quantity. If Im drinking for quality then its Woodford or Makers.

What "pain and suffering" have you endured watching a game?

Ya'll are wacky.

Woodford is the right answer. Need my glass refilled. Started with Belhaven Scottish Ale at the saloon. Woodford is for after getting the dogs fed and walked and sitting next to the fire.

Maker's Mark - although I won't pass up some Woodford Reserve, either.

Favorite misery drink, though, is Margarita.

I can’t figure out if you’re a Prostestant or mean drunk. It’s called a joke, dude. I was just trying to get some good whiskey suggestions.
well, you can see what his drink of choice is. he should just drop out of this one

I’ve found that the happy medium is Maker’s.
Its not too expensive, and tastes okay.

If i’m gonna spend a few more $ i’d get Gentleman Jack. Its also fun to dabble in the small batches Bakers, Bookers, Basil Haydens.

Russell’s bourbon whiskey for my occasional Manhattan, but I’m no connoisseur and others will do when the bartender doesn’t carry it. I have it in my wine cellar (now more of a glorified spare clothes closet) at home along with Woodford. It got a good review in a Food and Wine magazine article I read so I gave it a go.

Larceny all day long. Followed by Woodford or Buffalo Trace. Bulleit isn't too bad either. Dislike anything from Four Roses and Makers. Picked up a bottle of Basil Haydens tonight but have yet to try it.

I don't drink anymore. Sometimes I go off my diet and have noticed that as I get older chocolate is really good.

Canadian Club and Diet Coke, with Vodka and Tonic as an occasional change. Sometimes have a beer on a weekend afternoon as I am watching sports on TV. I buy imports when on sale, but I usually buy Yuengling for a good domestic. Much to my wife's dismay, my blood draws always show liver function in normal range. Must be my 90 proof blood type.

I like a rye. Michters single barrel, FEW are good. Rittenhouse is good especially for the price. Corsair Ryemageddon on the pricier side.

McCormick’s Vodka, how white trash is that!

Actually mccormicks looks good. The only thing that determines the quality of a vodka for me is the hangover potential. Mccormicks is distilled four times so should be pretty easy in the morning. If you ever see it White Gold is good. It is very cheap but distilled many times and mostly hangover free. If you dont get the congeners out with multiple distillations then vodka is an effin poison the next morning.

I picked up a bottle of Larceny today. I totally forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder.
