They were exactly the same in that each had an obvious definitive winner. Key states were close both times, but several (six) flipped in 2024, popular vote margin was much bigger in 2020 (4.5%) than 2024 (1.5%). EC was almost the same.
The difference is how the losing side has responded.

EC was almost the same for the winner. Biden had 306, Trump had 312. Six swing states flipped, but still pretty close.
I ignore COVID protocols because both sides played by the same rules and in the same conditions. Complaining would be like blaming losing a football game on the weather. Both teams played in the same weather.
