Kudos to St. Mary's. They play the way the Hoosiers used to play. Three or four year players with no transfer portals to poison the pot. Disciplined play. Good shooting. Good teamwork. Great defense and fantastic coaching. Reminds me of the good old days and is proof that maybe you can still win without one and dones and without transfers and with kids that play together. I wish them well.

They indeed put in a clinic and, top to bottom, they were more talented than IU. College basketball has so much parity. There are guys on the St. Peter’s roster, who beat UK last night, who would start without hesitation over IU kids if they were on our roster. There’s talent everywhere at the college level. As I watch these teams, every single one of them has a “shooter” from outside.
IU’s downfall is terrible guard play and guys playing significant minutes who wouldn’t sniff the floor at mid-major programs. Recipe gor disaster. If our guards were not so putrid from outside shooting the ball, we’d have been a tough team.

Enjoy watching these mid-major teams playing smart basketball (except when they're cutting us to pieces).
