I can play that game too:
"The 2024 Duke's Mayo Bowl had an announced attendance of 31,027. This was the lowest attendance in the bowl game's 23-year history, aside from 2020 when the crowd was limited to 1,500 due to COVID-19 restrictions."
If you watched those first round CFP games, I think they were almost all sellouts and great environments with good viewership. Now, imagine spreading that to 16 games, and the interest of the NCAA Bball tournament turbocharged with college football juice. I read there are 47 current D1 bowl games. A 32 team playoff would mean 31 games, but I'll bet attendance would be close and TV ratings would be higher. I think it's doable, IF folks really wanted to come to the table and figure it out. Bear in mind that a ton of the seats sold to the current bowl games go to sponsors and team and corporate blocks. Tix to a 32 team playoff I think would also yield much higher tix prices and TV ratings and ad revenue.
