New Yorkers Lining Up for Trump

It could have been worse.

This is damning:

“He had a joke calling [Vice President Kamala] Harris a ‘****,’” a campaign insider involved in the discussions about the event told The Bulwark. “Let’s say it was a red flag.”
...
Campaign staffers had asked all speakers to submit drafts of their speeches ahead of time—before they were loaded into the teleprompter—according to the aforementioned sources. Once the objectionable “****” joke was spotted, the sources said, a staffer asked Hinchcliffe to strike it. He complied.

That means staffers did vet the speeches, and still okayed all his other jokes. They were there on purpose.

They later claimed he ad libbed.

Yeah, right.
Heard another interesting interview on NPR today, not sure who, but it was about the divide between two camps in the Trump campaign, the "data" camp and the "gut" camp. Basically, the data-driven advisors are all telling Trump the #1 issue he should be pounding non-stop to win the votes they need is the economy. But Trump's gut tells him that immigration is the issue that will win, and the sycophants are fluffing him on that.

The MSG rally was clearly the "gut" camp winning out. The entire event was designed around getting people seething about dirty foreigners. To the point they couldn't even remember that Puerto Ricans were actually Americans.

:D

I think Kamala win in PA is baked in. The MSG rally has no affect.

Edit.

So if you have her winning PA, you have her winning.

Same routine/guy who called PR garbage.
Worst part was he called out the one black guy in the audience when he did it. And you know that poor dude was only there because someone pulled him off the street and offered him $100 to stand around for a few hours in a Trump hat surrounded by white people and just make sure he walked in front of a camera once in a while.

Highly doubtful. So Cunty. All the time.

Your ass is showing. Guy was there because he’s a Trump supporter.

Talk to us Joe. You know you’ve been missed. All good in your world?
I got fired last Thursday, the hooker daughter is moving out, My ADHD ass filed for 3 new LLC's this AM, I have no Russian/ Ukrainian/ Chinese connections to fill my offering plate. So I guess, just normal in an odd way.

There is a corner of the Permian Oil Basin in NE NM. The state budget depends on oil severance taxes. The freeze on leases on Federal land, will hit the budget hard down the road. NM sees all the border immigrant traffic from El Paso to Tucson. The more Hispanics swing away from Democrats, based on the issues, the more likely Republicans can pick off a house seat.

Voters in NH may feel slighted by Harris bypassing their “First in the Nation” primary.

VA did vote in a Republican Governor.

MN voters may decide to hold Waltz accountable for not calling out the MN National Guard to prevent the burning down the police precinct house, and Harris for creating a bail fund for rioters.

Reaching out for votes is a necessary political activity.
Harris has a better chance of winning Texas than Trump has of winning any of those states...Trump omly had a 4 point lead in Iowa in the latest DesMoines Register poll. The fact that Cruz is not able to even get outside the MOE tells you all you need to know about Trump's chances in any of those states...

True but probably not smart to say publicly.
Remember when Richard Mourdock made a comment about rape being something God intended to happen and lost the 2012 Senate race to Donelly by 6 points? Even in Ruby Red Indiana...

Trump has a speech scheduled for Allentown on Tues night, a city with a sizable Puerto Rican population. According to this Politico report there may even be demonstrations.

It's not just the horrible comments from the comic, but people also remember Trump referring to PR as a "shithole", the toss paper towel stunt when he finally visited after the hurricane, and also Trump's slow response and reluctance to authorize necessary aid to the people of the island...

Hinchcliffe has a history of this kind of shit.

Just an incredibly stupid, unforced error by a campaign in the closing days of a tight race.

Not convinced it was an error. Spend the last few days of the campaign talking about shit no one cares about while Trump hammers home the economy, inflation, the border, etc.

You guys are reaching for anything.
That’s pretty funny.

The margins in this election are razor-thin. Both sides need every vote they can get. Pennsylvania, one of the states that will decide the election, has nearly a half-million residents of Puerto Rican descent. Other battleground states also have sizable Puerto Rican populations.

You think they haven’t heard about Trump’s rally and Hinchcliffe’s slur? Think again. People of Puerto Rican ancestry, like everyone else, are on social media. Bad Bunny, JLo, Ricky Martin and others who are popular in the Puerto Rican community have, collectively, over 100 million followers on Instagram. They’ve all posted about this.

Why do you think Rick Scott and others in the GOP rushed to distance themselves from this bigoted “comedy?” Because it can affect election outcomes.

This shouldn’t be hard to understand.

There's a very realistic world in which Harris wins PA, but Trump wins Michigan. I'm not saying it's likely, but it's not a pipedream.

I’ve always thought Wisconsin was more winnable for Trump than Michigan. Biden won by a tiny margin there last time. And the polls badly underestimated Trump in both ‘16 and ‘20.

That wouldn't make a difference nowadays.

We have data that's more recent than 2020 - - the 2022 midterms. The predicted red wave that never materialized. The polling averages in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania in 2022 underestimated Dems by 4 points.

A number of strategists believe the polls aren't fully capturing Harris' support this cycle.

trump has a secret plan, conjured up by him and mike johnson to prevent the certification of the Electoral College. trump can not win fairly. He has to try to steal the election. gop talks about merit but when things don't go their way they will try to steal using the 12th Amendment because there is more red states than blue states. the red states will choose trump by passing the voice of the people. All this depends on the gop keeping the House,
