My main man Tuck.

I agree winners want to win and know how to win. IU had a ton of non-winners on this team and staff
I am so damn competitive in everything I do. Kills me if someone out works me or accomplishes more in my field. We had none of that in this team. Entitled coaches and players. GUT EM

that's my point. entitled is right. if he said it to this coach what makes you think he wont say the same to the next one, the minute he doesn't get his way?

I'm guessing the exchange started with the coaching staff asking him to make a goal for one assist a game

No idea what the context was, but I promise you at that point in the season any winner would have multiple justified chances to tell them to F off. And be totally validated.

What was his shooting %, his +/- prior to his benching? He needed to be on the bench. He sucked. Now some of that is on the staff for player development. But he didn't deserve playing time. Leaders are going to have folks upset with them all the time. Every coach in the country has one or more players to telling them to f off every year. This is a non story.

Had a conversation last night with my buddy who told me “straight from the horses mouth” Tucker told the coaching staff to go F themselves. Those exact words. lol. Hasn’t played since.

I hope we keep Tuck!!

nor should he.

tucker's dad should've brought him in first thing next AM to apologize to the coaches, in overalls.

what a gizzard.

I’m on the fence with this one. As you said, depends on the context, situation. But I knew if I said those words to my coaches, next stop was the bench …if I was lucky. More probable would be locker room, then parking lot on a one way ticket.

Can’t wait to close to book on this. Just hope SD doesn’t whiff on this next drive.

I don’t think we wiff. If we get Brownell I’ll deactivate my handle and be done tho.

If numerous reports are correct, Woody has even got into a tussle or two with assistant coaches. And the Tucker incident makes sense given he hasn't seen the floor in forever.

I ask you: Who's the common denominator is these kerfuffles?

I feel for him. He was subjected to some of the worst coaching possible.

Now let’s go get Brownell and hand around .500 for years to come!!!
What? Brownell is a clean .600 at Clemson. Just enough to be a potential bubble team year in and year out.

And what qualities did Tucker show prior to that time that suggest he’s a winner any more than anyone else on the team?

The kid has some talent. Better coaching and he’ll be a really good player (potentially). But he didn’t tell them to F off because he’s a dawg/winner. He’s not shown those qualities at all.

He’s 18 and been given no confidence in his game. Tamar was a dog when here, and everyone said he was a puppy. I’ve had plenty of talks with Tamars dad this year, confidence and belief is what he told me is the huge difference in programs. Coach molds you at this age. Woody screwed Tucker. Next year will be Great proof of that.

People in here saying he shot 30%, ok well that’s on coach. Tucker took very difficult fade aways and 20 footers. He had no business doing that his freshman year. If I was coach he would not be allowed to do that, he was obviously encouraged to do so.

You can’t grow if you aren’t given water. CJ banks Tamar…. Woody is the problem. F him.

Sounds just as much like an entitled crybaby who threw a tantrum as a guy who is telling his incompetent coaching staff what he thinks of them. Need more context.

Exactly. IF this did happen, he’s lucky to still be on the team.

He might have told them off because he’s a dawg. We don’t know the context. But I’ve heard his rap coming in was that he was very coachable. Maybe he finally had enough of not being coached…

I heard from a pretty good source that Dad told Woody they were looking for a new coach around the holidays and he’s been in touch with several. Wonder if this was before or after the FU. Wonder what teammates did and if he is close to any of them
