More racism from Trump

I've always thought that trump won because he had three camps that voted for him. The desperate, the racist and the clinically stupid. The question is; can he add to any or all of those groups? The last week has had convinced me the stupid and and racist groups are larger than I would have ever had guessed.
Again, I don't believe he can gain any votes. The "desperates" you identify are the ones that should be having buyer's remorse, and should be ready to try something/someone else. The Dems need to be pounding the fact that the coal mines are still shutting down, no more cars are coming out of Lordstown, Carrier did go to Mexico, and the LG factory in WI was a fantasy. Not to mention what has been done to the farmers. They've borne the brunt of the trade war idiocy, and that's not going to change any time soon.

Everybody I grew up with was a farmer and/or a factory worker including most of my family. My folks are in their 80's and despise trump. They can't understand why anyone would support him. My dad said if you can't trust someone with your wife, your wallet or the truth why would support him?

Can I ask you a honest question, what do you do for a living.

That was easy to figure out, you have that UAW mentality.

I'm glad my parents died when they did, before Trump hit the scene in 2015. They thought Obama was awful because Rush and Sean told them he was. It would have broken my heart to see them turn into Trump supporters.

My parents were Republican most of their life until the big social agenda hit . I think Pat Buchanan was the one who turned them away. My mom would have hated Trump. Part of me thinks my dad might have secretly liked him but he would have been too ashamed to admit it to anyone.

I ask you a question and I want you to answer it.

My folks aren't overly fond of any political party but above all else they hate crude, crass and stupid. My dad didn't really swear or yell when I was a kid but I did get a big dose of "THINK" and "don't do stupid"
when I did something where I could have been hurt. And that has stuck with me to this day.

Trump qualifies as doing stupid.

My folks were similar. They'd always been die hard Republicans. Goldwater was their hero, with Reagan right behind him. Dad had worked on Nixon's behalf, and had a letter from him hung on his wall. He took it down as soon as the transcripts of the tapes became public. Dad had his standards. Of course, they disliked Clinton, since he was a Democrat, but the Lewinsky scandal sent them over the edge. That coincided with the rise of Rush, with Fox news coming soon after. From that point on they moved into crazyland.

I Lucy wants to know, so I can better understand why you think like you do. I don’t care who you are or what your real name is or where live.
I'm the buyer for a small manufacturer. I get paid to spend my boss's money.

Thank you, I was just wondering if you were an attorney.
You haven't been paying attention, then. I have used IANAL in numerous posts touching on legal questions.

Now I need to decide whether to be flattered or pissed.

And mention the trillion-dollar deficits that are propping up the economy that Trump claims to own.

And yet two debates from now, at most 10% of the candidates on stage will be able to actually beat Trump. Go figure. Americans are relatively conservative by nature, liberal pipe dreams here on the WC notwithstanding. They don't want revolution.

You don't understand the meaning of hating. Listen to what Trump says; that's pure hatred.
Sorry, I disagree with you! The real hate comes from maxine waters and Antifa, the talking heads from the left! Why you ask they hate Trump so bad? He has set their environmental and socialist agenda back years.

The word “hate” belongs in the thread about overused words. Its now just another way for a liberal to say “I disagree” in a way to ramp up emotions to a fever pitch.

Democrats and Independents overwhelmingly reject Trump's racist statements, but over 80 percent of Republicans agree with them, and almost half strongly agree with them.

The only real reason to reject them is binary thinking, in which people have no awareness that we all are prone to prejudicial behavior. Under binary thinking, the people protect themselves by thinking they are perfectly non-racist.

I think it is just the opposite, I think most people have it in them to be racist. I believe it us evolutionary to trust the same and distrust the different.

It is important to reject racism in the effort to train one's brain to reject racism. It is all too easy for people to slide into the easy ways of racism.

Not sure what's opposite there. Yes, people who can't observe their own bias are simple-minded and unable to be less biased.
