Sports 10 has learned South Knox boys basketball coach David Burkett has had his coaching credentials revoked by the IHSAA and coach has been suspended two years for multiple violations.

I didn't realize that, either. It's probably like how refs have to be certified before they can officiate games.

My friends know the whole story as one is a coach in a different sport at SK and another is on the school board at a nearby school corporation. I believe one of the violations was illegal contact, meaning illegal practices in the off season.

The friends were talking about this since the summer. The IHSAA recommended suspending this coach during last season and the SK school board over ruled the principal and allowed him to ignore the ruling. Toxic environment inside the school according to my friends. They have been commenting about it in our group text today.
