Totally different situation in fact Billy G wasn’t even working under a contract .
Since neither Archie or Fred are going anywhere next year (or the year after) I would suggest all of you posters in this thread who are the core of the "fire now" camp begin your boycott immediately. Please refuse to have anything to do with IU basketball, including this message board. Scan the country for another program/coach you like better and join their site, root like hell for them in the tourney, and abandon this sinking ship.
The rest of us rats who choose to remain here will be grateful. We can live in blissful ignorance of our mediocrity and lowered expectations. We'll miss you.

I agree, Morgan looked too pooped to pop and I think it affected him mentally. He didn't seem as alert for the most part. Wichita had better outside shooting. We didn't hit our free throws well while WS hit their last 8 attempts of the game. We just couldn't get over the proverbial hump. The game tonight didn't have a good feel from the outset. Then, the world's greatest timeout albeit it self-proclaimed, didn't have the flags at the 7 min. mark,...what was up with that? Get rid of the Jumbotron crowd shots - far too many. No one cares but the people in the camera and half the time they aren't even aware. It's going to be a long off season and it starts tomorrow (today if you're reading this tomorrow). I hope Archie studies the game over the summer...maybe picks up an edge to his personality. Maybe not so far as a chip on his shoulder, but somewhere close. It was a frustrating season and I'm glad it's finally over, now that it is. I've been drained.

Have you been to games this year? I’ve been to quite a few and it gets worse each time I go. Tonight you had Smith yelling back at Flint after a poor defensive trip, Mc Roberts rolling his eyes and shaking his head after CAM complained about his d, Flint and Ostrom arguing at the 12 min TO, Green doing his thing, Fitzner doesn’t play a minute, and CAM throwing his arms up in disgust at least 60% of the time after offensive possessions. This is after 30 games and he still can’t get them to do what we wants. Sorry but this season is on him. Very soft and lazy team.
Assuming that all of those things are true, I have 2 questions for you:
A. How many of those players you mentioned in that post were recruited by Archie Miller and came to IU expecting to play for him ?
B. If Archie puts Smith, Green, McRoberts, all on the bench for negative displays of emotion, who plays in their place and do we have any chance of winning the game with those guys ?

Has it occurred to any of the screechers here that exactly ONE kid on the floor tonight was an Archie recruit. And with the possible exception of our all-conference 4th year senior, he was the best player we had. On top of that, he was generally considered our third best player in the class. The top two were sitting injured on the end of the bench.
Despite the need for so many to disparage RL on this board, if he was healthy and playing we would have won this game tonight. Probably easily. Had he begun the OSU game in the BTT at full strength, and stayed that way through the whole game, we would have been in the NCAAT and not in this game at all.
Miller’s chops as a recruiter have the Hoosiers primed to contend in the Big Ten this year and beyond. Indiana’s 2018–19 ceiling shot through the roof when five-star Romeo Langford stayed in state and committed to IU. Langford is an elite scorer from all three levels who should pair perfectly with senior forward Juwan Morgan. Behind that duo, junior big De’Ron Davis, and a host of other four-star freshmen and sophomores, Indiana has top-20 potential.

Would serve romeo well to come back and work on shooting and ball handling, unless he has an out of body performance at the combine he will probably slide farther down the draft board. No way he can contribute on an nba team next year.
Seth Greenberg summed it up nicely after the game... If you are going to do the 1 and done thing, you better have two of them because only having one will put too much spotlight on that one player.

You are absolutely clueless. Obviously We have problems getting elite coaches to come here, firing a guy 2 years into his tenure is NOT going to get any good coach here. Think, then type. It makes you look much smarter when you do that.
I think you are clueless, there are only handful of coaches that make more than Archie, and most of them have national championships. We'd have no problem drawing interest, the only thing that's off putting is the cupboard is so bare from Crean and Archie's incompetence that it's a rebuild for anyone. Now, that's not because we don't have talent … we have a bunch of players that have not been developed or even seen game time because of bad coaching, poor choice for system
