2. They've gotten better, but we've seen what Smith and Loyer look like against truly elite level backcourts. Pretty big leap to assume they'll be better without Edey than they were with him. And they'll absolutely need to be to hit those rankings.
3. TONS of assumptions being made on how good guys like Colvin, Heide, Catchings, etc... are going to be. Like Loyer and Smith improving without Edey, those three are all going to have to "hit" for them to approach those lofty rankings.

The non-Edey players really stepped up against UConn. When Edey is doing nothing in the NBA, the role players will have their chance to shine without him.

2. They've gotten better, but we've seen what Smith and Loyer look like against truly elite level backcourts. Pretty big leap to assume they'll be better without Edey than they were with him. And they'll absolutely need to be to hit those rankings.
3. TONS of assumptions being made on how good guys like Colvin, Heide, Catchings, etc... are going to be. Like Loyer and Smith improving without Edey, those three are all going to have to "hit" for them to approach those lofty rankings.

Basically...good luck with that.

Heide is the only one of that group that impresses me. Loyer and Smith are good 3pt shooters, but that's about it. Maybe Painter will run more of a motion offense to get them open, since dumping it inside and then passing outside isn't going to work nearly as well without Edey.
