I'm not a math guy but I think I was reading WVU was #255 in some offensive efficiency statistic? To hire this candidate is offensive to offensive.

They lost their two best players early in the season. I am guessing that had something to do with that offensive efficiency stat. We saw what happened when Reneau was out this year, did IU improve their offensive efficiency while he was out? I think he will do better than people expect. Although hiring coaches are just like recruiting big name players .... you never know what they will do until after the fact.

I think 5 of the top 8 seeds are coached by guys 65 years of age or older. And yes I would have loved to have had Rick Pitino at any time during our slide into irrelevance. I think we have a guy that can duplicate his results from his previous stops at IU. With a few years of that he'll be in the upper tier of the conference coaches. It has a long-term Greg Gard feel to me. A helluva lot better than the last 30 years. The best of the baggage free group. And we'll never know the facts with this search.
