A double whammy against any B1G Team with a large frontcourt. Without a perimeter game opponents can pack their D inside the lane against Morgan and Romeo. Romeo needs to take and make more perimeter shots to open up the lanes for drives and passing angles to Morgan and cutters to the rim. IU can use Green if he can make catch and shoot 3pt shots, and stay away from excessive TOs. Phinesse also has to be a facillitaor and also a 3pt shooter, Al needs to continue making 3's. IF Race can ever play it would be a boost if he can make mid range shots and an occational long perimeter shot.

Yep I was told Fitzner and Anderson would be stroking it from deep all year!
I like how the all knowing ufo33 can assure me that I'm silly for thinking we lack perimeter shooting during the off season and the turn around and try and diagnose our teams problem as if he still has a leg to stand on.
Next game get there early and watch warmups; they don’t even hit shots then. How does the coach not see this last year and think there might b a problem. I can see it and know nothing.
Anderson still may make some shots. Fitzner appears to have a mental block, Hunter has never played, McRoberts has bern injured, as has Phinesee, Green got himself suspended, and Romeo has not been as as consistent as I expected. It is true that there are not many shooters on the roster from the Crean era. Who would have predicted all of the injuries and suspensions

There healthy enough to play, they're shooters (in your words), so shouldn't they hit shots?
Or maybe I'm right and you're wrong and we just don't have any good shooters on this team. Can you admit what is clearly obvious to everyone else or are you going to back up and hedge some more?
We had career over 40% shooters that suddenly now can't shoot. Phinisee is shooting 40%. So what's your answer? Archie is out of eligibility.
It is mind boggling to me a D1 big ten player cannot shot a three point shot at least 30-35 percent. It really makes me wonder what they did all summer. It is your job to work on your shooting in the summer. Maybe they need to bring Bailey, Alford and Bird in and teach these guys a little work ethic.
Nobody thought Anderson who contribute at all this year and could have been redshirted if it was not for injuries so stop making things up.
just as i was told IU fans are basketball savvy. guess it's rude awakenings all over the place. lol
This team lacks quality guard play, front court depth, ft shooting and 3 pt Shooting..the need for a perimeter threat is huge.
It is not just height that makes IU undersized. Except for Davis & Morgan we are shoved around and seem to not be as strong as most B10 teams.
Anderson is a freshman who was not in the top 100 and that doesn’t mean he can’t shoot. He’s lacking confidence right now but needs to keep shooting it to find his stroke. He makes a few big shots and it just might get him started. There is a kid playing at Cincinnati that was 0-19 from behind the arc and he made a couple to help lead his team to an overtime win and now his confidence is up and he’s stroking it.
Sounds like a kid named Falzon I saw ply one night in the B10 this year...
and a few kids from IPFW and INSt last year...
right after fitzner committed i said his stroke looked a little off. i never thought anderson looked like a shooter. his release is so low he has to rush through the motion
