Women's basketball seems to focus on fundamentals and working on skill. Shooting, FT, passing, defense, etc. It's what I tell my kids to watch if they want to know how real basketball used to be everywhere.
A lot of men these days think they are better than that and would rather see how high they can jump, how fancy they can dribble, if they can make 28 foot shots at a 10% clip, etc and never really work on anything fundamental. For people like that you need a good coach that can teach it or sit them if they won't listen. And if it comes to it get rid of the bad apple.
