DeBord came in with the intent to help a coaching friend bridge the gap in his first few seasons. It was never going to be long term for him. The money wasn’t an issue for him. His advantage was being back home near family.

I am aware; however, it’s not CTAs money, so it seems odd to me to pay a guy $500K for 2 years, then say “$500k? We wouldn’t pay our OC $500k. It’s too low and makes a bad impression!”
