It’s indictment time again….

Republicans have a tough row to hoe. They know Trump’s a loser, but they know a solid 30 percent can’t be swayed from supporting him. They can’t be Trump, and can’t totally piss off Trump voters. Probably. It sucks.
Yes you do!

It's hilarious watching Trumpers on this board jumping ship, saying he is horrible and they don't want to vote for him.

If you are talking about me, I was off the train before the first indictment even came out. Honestly all of that stuff is secondary to me. I don't think he can get anything done which is the entire point of politics.

All of this indictment stuff is just red meat for the people who flat out hate him. And I expect it will have repercussions down the line. That said, I had said he wasn't my preference months ago. I want to have someone that represents my ideas win and then have a chance to be effective after winning. I don't think he is the best person to do either.

Our country is absolutely not in horrible shape. Our economy is the best in the world. Our inflation is almost to Fed target. Another 50 bps, and we’ll be at optimal. Wages are now outpacing inflation 5.3% to 3.0%.

Gas prices aren’t controlled by the US government. OPEC and oil companies supply/charge what they want. Homelessness is definitely a problem, but the Republican solution is concentration camps. Do you think anyone wants to sleep under an overpass? For all the talk about “mental health issues” being responsible for homelessness, mass shootings, etc., not one suggestion from ‘pubs. Healthcare solutions? Ask your senators why they have no ideas, especially after Trump promised us “beautiful” health care plans. I pay almost $1,300 per month. I was watching family guy and their cutaway was Peter getting fired, calling Cobra and making a joke about paying that exact amount. It’s insane.

Home ownership is not achievable for many because DJT’s only economic achievement was cutting taxes for himself and people in the same economic class. It really is pathetic that the only concrete thing Pubs want to talk about is the President’s son.

No ideas, no policy, just the same culture wars and fake scandals they’re always pushing. You’re a smart guy. How do you fall for their garbage?
How much did you pay for healthcare before the federal government’s last involvement?
Also know. As the ACA?

I was not talking about you. Your posts are always some of my favorites from the conservative POV. I enjoy reading them even if I don’t always agree with them. Your earnestness is refreshing and appreciated.

why no one talks about the actual cost of treatment is a mystery to me. at least trump had the transparency bill, which was useful, to some extent

I recall talking a lot about cost of treatment during the ACA debate and after.

It's not a popular political talking point, as it means going after provider costs, which really means going after the incomes of the 22 million people that work in the industry. And all the ancillary beneficiaries of the industry.

Go walk into a hospital in any middle/upper class area of the country, it's on par with walking into a 4* hotel lobby. That shit don't come cheap and we all pay a part of it.

Then you have the more rural county hospitals and health care systems that are often the largest and best paying employers in the area.

No political win to attack such an industry.... easier to make the middle man insurance companies the scapegoat.

Universities and hospitals…an ever increasing footprint

There’s a few who still can’t quit him…. Danc will go down with the ship, and dmb and Mas And Joe.m

So why would we replace him with someone who also has baggage? And not only baggage but isn't as conservative as some of the other candidates. Chris Christie is one of the worst options out there.
Because there is no one without baggage. On either side.

Yeah but his baggage is political corruption. Using his office to cause harm to everyday people for political reasons. You guys would have a field day with that dude if he was the candidate.

I’d guess the number is south of 30%- I think it’s dwindling now to just those scared little racists
I think the number is south of 15%. I know no one who voted for Trump in 16 and 20 that will vote for him in 24 primaries. BUT every one of them think democrats are using the legal system against him while allowing the Bidens to skate.

Looks like she also has a 'history' with Hunter. And Burisma.

But I'm sure she'll be fair.

Agree 100%, most notably parents rights.
Parents have rights. They have the right to send their child to another school. They shouldn't have the right to attempt to restrict what others learn.

You're probably the president of your HOA and think it's cool to tell others what they can do with their property.

I voted Trump in 2016- he had his shot to do what he promised- no wall, no HRC in jail, tried to steal an election in 2020- that fat ass cheater in golf should swing from heavy gauge rope in my view- if he returns to the presidency the democracy is done

Clinton wasn't going to end up in jail. It was a campaign prop.

I liked trump up until he put fauci on a microphone every day. Demonstrated he had no idea what he was doing. Then he’s spiraled since to the point of devolving to pure absurdities with the election fraud and Rudy and the rest.

So you believe the Maralargo judge was randomly selected ( the one who made decisions in favor of Trump that were overturned ) but this one wasn’t?

Unfortunately, polls show more than 15% support him and favor him as the nominee.

Fauci was the darling of the 'scientific' community. Nothing was going to be done to stop Covid from running its course.

If Trump hadn't followed Fauci's recommendations and millions still died, he'd have been impeached and in jail for following the wrong course - no matter what he did.

You can blame Trump for a lot of things, but blaming him for following Fauci is just ignorant.

When did I ever say I thought the Mar a Lago judge was randomly selected?

Ok so it’s even, according to you. They lied and didn’t randomly select and was in a TrumpER and one is not. What’s the problem?

Ignorant is your incessant backing of a guy behind a mountain of evidence against him. Let me explain the difference. No one elected fauci. They elected trump. Health is one variable of myriad policy concerns. You don’t let fauci set the narrative. Desantis read the literature on his own. Then HE the elected official made decisions cognizant of other concerns as well. You can agree or disagree with his choices but that’s how you govern.
