It’s indictment time again….

He portrayed it as the end of a long investigatory process that was about to get shut down. But it wasn't. It was a relatively new process that had been set up precisely because the previous process failed to produce charges against KLA leadership.
So it's not a lie, but you have a problem with how it was presented. There was a 20 year investigation, no charges were filed, then Smith comes in and files charges, based on the investigation.

And after 20 years, you don't think it was about to get shut down?

You said there were blatant lies and I'm still waiting to hear what they are.

No he didn't the international court investigated for years and found nothing.
Goat would have you believe he's impartial on these things, but the minute proof comes out that Smith is 100% partisan, he says "blatant lies" when he can't produce any.

And after 20 years, you don't think it was about to get shut down?
This is how you know it's a lie, and I already explained this bit. It wasn't after 20 years. It was a different investigation by a different body that was only a few years old and was apparently in no danger whatsoever of being shut down.

There was a 20 year investigation with no charges. That's not a lie - it's a fact.

Amazing that a state AG would spend any time on this trial - that's what Habba was complaining about. She only shows up when a Trump is testifying. How obvious is it that this is 100% political?
She's not attending a trial, in the sense that Fraud has not already been proven. She did her homework upfront and compiled overwhelming evidence that resulted in Judge Engoron issuing a summary judgement basically saying the Trump Org committed fraud...

So she is attending the penalty phase, and the state she represents stand to gain a huge influx of cash,to compensate for all the money represented by the Trumps' ill gotten gains.I still don't get why some of you are desperate to carry water for Trump. Hehas been enriching himself at the expense of others who played by the rules and paid their fare share of taxes, and it's not like he showed any heartfelt benevolence to the less fortunate...

He's never been anything close to a philanthropist, and he's ripped off contractors and other small business owners for decades. He has declared liquidating bankruptcies multiple times and escaped personally unscathed while people who worked for him suffered financial ruin. You've mentioned "poor Maga Grandmas" who suffered the hardship of days in jail, but seem to have no regard for the grandmas and widows Trump has swindled out of their property/inheritence in slimey business deals.

Ask Vera Coking about the concept of "eminent domain" and how Trump attempted to bastardize a concept meant to provide public benefits for his own personal profit...

"Trump's battle with Atlantic City resident Vera Coking in the 1990s is the ultimate example of this kind of Robin-Hood-in-reverse development scheme. Coking had lived in her home since the 1960s, and had turned down another developer's $1 million offer for her house in the 1980s.

In the mid-1990s, Trump tried to persuade her to sell her home to make room for a parking lot for the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, which was located next door. When she refused, Trump got Atlantic City's Casino Reinvestment Development Authority to threaten to take the property using eminent domain. If she'd accepted the offer, she would have gotten $250,000 — a quarter of the price she was offered a decade earlier."

Truly a man of the people. Utterly shameless...

I'm shocked. Shocked!!!

lmao I guess that whole law about it being a crime to have classified documents only applies to Trump.

Of course, it's 'different' for anyone else.
I'm "shocked" that Megyn Kelly doesn't know the difference between discovering and turning in classified documents and deliberately hiding, ignoring a DOJ subpoena and obstructing an investigation into your continued attempts to keep those documents

Pretty sure that the indictment doesn't accuse Trump of "having" classified documents...

So now three seperate Republican special consels have all reached seperate decisions on three seperate cases and appraently all 3 have issued decisions that make Maga Republicans whine. I guess the three investigations should have been headed up by Dems?

No idea what nonsensical point you two are trying to make, but it appears you're discussing Jack Smith...

"In 2015, Mr. Smith left Washington to accept a post in the federal prosecutor’s office in Nashville, in part to be closer to family members who had relocated there. He was appointed as acting U.S. attorney when Mr. Trump fired Obama-appointed attorneys, but left for a job at a private health care company after being passed over for a permanent appointment in the post, according to a law enforcement official who worked with him in Tennessee.

By late 2017, he had grown restless and jumped at the chance to move to The Hague to oversee the prosecution of defendants accused of war crimes in the Kosovo conflict in the late 1990s, after having served a stint there as a junior investigator earlier in his career."

When Mr. Garland’s aides contacted Mr. Smith, he and his team were fresh off the conviction of a high-ranking official in Kosovo and preparing a case against the country’s former president, Hashim Thaci, who has been connected with the killings of 100 Albanians, Roma and Serbs.

Mr. Smith expressed regret at not being able to be in The Hague for the trial, but eagerly accepted Mr. Garland’s offer, according to officials, saying he viewed his long-term obligations to the department as his primary professional responsibility."

Garland didn't even know Smith and Smith had been out of the US since 2017. Now if you want to claim he has a private vendetta vs Trump because Trump appointed him acting US Attny in Nashville but then passsed him over when the time came to make the position permanent, that wouldn't be accurate. But it wouldn't be as ridiculous as claiming registered Republican, but largely apolitical Smith had a "partisan motive." As head of the DOJ's Public Integrity Section from 2010-2015 he investigated and prosecuted both Dems and Pubs, including high profile Dems like John Edwards and Sen Bob Menedez...

Different for Pence as well.
Actually since he is proven to capitulate to maintain his place.... Yea even different for Pence... Who is, but the way, on his and his daughters news cycle grift tour right now. Yes different for Pence as well.

I'm shocked you don't know it's a crime to have classified docs in your possession, whether you turn them in or not. And he didn't 'turn in' all the docs he had.

Wait - no, I'm not surprised you don't know that.

And Trump was the only one with Constitutional authority to declassify them when taken yet he's the only being charged. Lmao.
He did not declassify them. You need to keep up. Trump and his legal team no longer make that absurd claim. They know it’s false and they’d be laughed out of court. The hypocrisy of the Trumpsters on this issue is stunning.

Really. I read a lot of lefty comments about maralago and the docs on Twitter and its a damn riot what some of these people dream up. It's comedy hour reading them. The absolute hatred is scary then someone posts something that brings them back to earth and they melt. It's non stop.

I have no idea what that has to do with the hypocrisy of the “lock her up” Trumpsters who are defending an extremely more egregious case of mishandling (deliberately to boot) 100s of highly classified nation security documents.

I don't think they were in there for docs...Theres all kinds of things flying around on that one.

Take that up with the lifelong Republican Special Prosecutor...I'm guessing he didn't think he could get an indictment...

You have no idea if it's 'more egregious'. Every document Trump had will be front page news. Whatever Biden had, we'll never know about.

Even you should know that.

You always seem to think Republicans act like Democrats and absolve people of their own Party all the time.

It should be obvious to you by now.

Isn't that the same Special Prosecutor who let the time run out on Hunter's tax crimes?
