It’s indictment time again….

You have no idea if it's 'more egregious'. Every document Trump had will be front page news. Whatever Biden had, we'll never know about.

Even you should know that.
You think we’re going to see Trump’s classified documents in newspapers? You prove your willful ignorance with every post you make on this subject, along with your rank hypocrisy.

Here's another point every single Trump defender seems to gloss over, in their zeal to label all of the indictments (and 91 criminal charges) vs Trump as "political"...

Prosecutors may be members of pollitical parties opposite of the defendant such as Willis and James who are registered Democrats. Smith is pretty apolitical, has prosecuted govt officials from both parties and is reputed to be a registered Republican, in terms of actual party registration...

But Prosecutors don't convict. They investigate, compile and present evidence. In the 3 criminal trials Trump will be convicted or aquitted by a jury of diverse individuals who hear the testimony and evidence presented in the courtroom...The foreperson of the Special Grand Jury in GA, which actually requested more indictments than the GJ eventually handed down was a woman who had voted for Trump and was actually a bit of a fan girl. But like her fellow jurors, she voted to indict AFTER hearing the evidence...

And the overwhelming majority of people who will testify are not only Republicans, but also many who were formerly aligned with Trump/Maga, know him well and in some cases worked with him on a daily basis. Meadows,Pence, Cassidy Hutchinson, Barr...If Trump ends up being convicted those are the folks who will convict him, not Willis or Smith.

And you can add a new name to the list (with regards to the FL case), and this is Trump attorney Jennifer Littles. I don't know if she's playing CYA, but when an Attorney actively does all he/she can to extradite themselves from a particular action or line of thinking, it's a good bet that Attorney is aware that failure to do so would have disastrous legal consequences. The last thing a reputable attorney wants to be associated with is an illegal/criminal act...

He's up to his eyeballs in legal entanglements. Of the 91 pending criminal counts, 40 are in federal court. I doubt that the MAGA folks, except for the Jan 6 defendants, have much familiarity with federal court and the conviction rate for criminal cases prosecuted in federal court, but they're utterly clueless if they believe he'll walk on all 40 counts. That is not going to happen. This will end with federal felony convictions.

The question then becomes the timing of the trials. Trial in the DC election interference case is scheduled for March 4. Trial in the Mar-A-Lago "Classified Documents All Over the Club Including Next to the Toilet" case is set for May 20. While he might get some brief adjournments, I don't see how either of the federal cases gets put off for a lengthy period unless he were to develop some kind of a debilitating health condition. And a health issue would have devastating consequences for his presidential campaign.

What would a conviction mean for the July convention in Milwaukee? Maybe nothing. Delegates are bound to their candidate. Then again, the delegates are a parliamentary body. They can change the rules if two-thirds of them agree to do so. Stand by, Nikki Haley.

If he survives the convention, then the General Election is next up. The Georgia RICO case will probably be underway by then, which is more bad news for Trump.

Think of the bonanza this provides the DNC when it's time to start spending serious money on ad campaigns. Two of the Trump cases (DC and Georgia) go to the heart of American democracy - - elections. The third (FL) concerns a former CIC who was utterly reckless, defiant and obstructive regarding classified documents including top secret documents with national security implications. There's no way the American people will collectively say, "Yep, he's my man!"

Where were you? Getting an award or something?
Went down to Florida after Thanksgiving in Indiana. We met our foreign exchange student (from '95-'96). who now has her own family, in Florida for a nice visit while they are vacationing from France.

I'm back now and beat. While in Indiana, i was burning up SR37 up to Ft Wayne for my wife's aunt's funeral and gatherings. Traveling wears me out anymore. And December isn't going to be much better.

You know how it is - you have to be mentally on your game to engage in mortal combat on the Cooler. I'm having to step out of the Dream Team chain of command for a while. Now that I can't follow Goat around like a lost puppy anymore, life just isn't the same.

Oh man - you are reading my mind on the new coach. He's all business. He treats the press like Bob Knight used to. Gives short, straight-to-the-point answers and told one reporter "I thought I answered that already".

This guy's going to be a hard-ass and I imagine he's going to recruit hard-ass players.

One thing I like - he said he's never looked at how many stars a player had. Said he recruits the player and that's it. I love it.

Soccer Hoosiers have a big game tomorrow in South Bend. Another Final Four is imminent.

Lmao. What a giant nothing burger. Not that it matters in front of Commie Chutkin and a 98% Dem jury pool but wow. Smith should be disbarred immediately.

Disclaimer: No, i don't think hitler was a saint. just pointing out the level of ridiculousness of calling it a nothing burger.

And now you know what the indictments are really for.

Now you think you know, but you’re wrong as nearly always. He’s been investigated by a team of bipartisan professional investigators, indicted by bipartisan grand juries because of significant evidence he committed felony crimes and will be tried in front of bipartisan juries by bipartisan prosecutors. He’s likely to be convicted of many felonies and Trumpster bozos like you will continue to support him and if he’s nominated support him through this loss to the Democrat running against him. Biden wouldn’t beat another Republican, but he for damned sure can beat Trump. It’s the damn saddest thing I’ve ever seen in politics.

Not sure you understand what he's saying...

Just like in 2020 he's running to prevent a second Trump term. I think he feels a sense of guilt for not running in 2016 and allowing Trump to be elected in the first place... Remember Biden only announced he was running for re-election a significant amount of time after Trump entered the ring...

He ran in 2020 because he knew Trump would likely beat the other Dem challengers and he knew the country couldn't handle a 2nd Trump term. If you can't see that Biden was the only Dem candidate in 2020 capapable of uniting a moderate/left coalition then I don't know what to tell you. I know that's why I favored Biden in both 2016 and 2020, because I knew he'd beat Trump...

You can't really blame him for not wanting to run in the shadow of Beau's death. But in a sense you have to blame Biden's decision to sit 2016 out for subjecting us to the nightmare of Trump. Not sure how forgiving history will be...

Dbm actually thinks Trump won and isn’t President because of massive voter fraud. The guy is a true believer in his lord and savior DJT.

These people just can't stop embarrassing themselves. Referring to the Jan 6 Committee as "partisan" rings just a tad hollow when you consider that the 2nd highest Republican House member was on the Committee.

Why exactly wouldn't all of the prosecutors investigating a series of interlocking crimes "collude" with each other? Isn't that how investigations involving multiple locales are conducted?

Nobody told Trump to engage in a conspiracy to steal the GA election and harass innocent civil servants/election workers for just doing there jobs. Once again the overwhelming majority of people providing testimony and evidence in these cases are going to be Republicans who were once Trumpers...

Hey head over to the Comer thread, and take DANC with you. I'm eagerly awaiting the genius input from you two regarding Comer's latest "bombshell"...

Now you're just changing history. Everything you said there is false. Who was spreading the big lie about the election fraud? Who did Trump routinely call and appear on over the phone or in person? What network is Hannity on and Carlson (was on)? Both of them are huge Trump cheer leaders. The answer to those questions is Fox News, and those are only a few examples. Are you a flat-out liar or are you brainwashed?

After Dominion, they've decided to be a bit more circumspect about what they are willing to pass on as fact.

Fealty has to be 100%. If it's only 90% then it's phony and probably part of a plan to undermine. You need to learn how this shit works, Aloha. You've obviously been living in a bubble.

I absolutely know how it works. What a devoted Trumpster will say or do is 100 percent predictable. Dbm never surprises me. He constantly disappoints me because he claims to be a Republican, but he never surprises me. He is most definitely NOT a Republican any longer - he's 100 percent Trumpster. The GOP means jack squat to him, Trump is everything. Everything.
