Israel under attack from Hamas

Meanwhile back at home, the terrorist allies deface military cemeteries.

Trump winning again would be worth it if I had a guarantee that these leftists douchebags had an ass kicking coming. ****ing tired of their shit and no consequences.
Unfortunately, even if Trump is elected, the DoJ career bureaucrats will still be there

Allow me to translate: Joe's poll numbers are low and he needs to use the military to goose the numbers.

I don't know what would be different - there's already a regional war there and we haven't done shit to this point. But, new election year.....

I dunno man, I think we’re seeing what successful US policy in the ME looks like. We’ve worked over the course of several administrations to get out of the ME cop game that we somewhat blindly jumped into. We’ve balanced the landscape in a way that prevents big wars. Iran can’t over run over any of its neighbors. Israel’s neighbors can’t run over it. Saudia Arabia and Israel are capable of handling Iran’s proxies and are working together. When something flares up, we cruise by with the big stick until cooler heads prevail.

Not a lot of talk about it but I think Turkey is the world card. Erdogan is making some interesting calculations in an effort stay polically strong.

the US is a joke. We aren’t doing anything in response to this, except to issue another stern warning

almost two dozen intercepts using a multi-national contingent of planes and ships. Where’s the joke? Looks like cool shit to me.

the US has been an integral part of Saudi and UAE efforts in Yemen. We’ve helped kill 15k Houthis to date. Are you doubting we’ll respond if this escalates further?

I’m gathering you’d prefer the US just shoot missiles into Iran. Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Gaza, West Bank, New York City (whoops 😀) and call it a day.

Of course it’s cool and impressive, but at some point it isn’t going to work and there are going to be casualties and major disruption to global supply chains. You can’t just sit here and play defense and say “don’t do it” over and over while the Houthis laugh and fire a new batch the next day.

ahh -- so you had no complaints the last couple dozen times the US successfully countered threats and kept trade and oil flowing through the Red Sea and Persian Gulf? but this time you need a shortened timeline based on your feels and really nothing else?

okay. lol.

Are you drunk? I wasn't complaining about the prior lack of US will from Houthi aggression towards the entire world? You need to reread the thread.

The entire point was that there was a joint statement saying, "this is your last warning". I wouldn't have given them that courtesy. After the first time.

no, I'm hearing you loud and clear. You -- with a proven lack of knowledge of how the US supports its interests in the ME and based on nothing more than your confused feelings, -- have decide that no warnings should be given to the Houthis, an adversary we've been helping to fight the last 10 years, working in lockstep with key ME allies.

lol. my dude, at least you're consistently shortsighted and emotional.

It’s an interesting theory, and if we are able to navigate this Houthi problem successfully without people getting hurt and igniting a broader regional war you may be correct.

It’s too early to say whether the restrained reaction to these Houthi attacks has been successful yet. And we don’t know if a stronger U.S. reaction to these attacks sooner would’ve quelled this threat already.

The US is getting tired of the Yemen war, which is looking like yet another forever war, but still is supporting the hell out of SA/ UAE.

A case can be made for either course of action. but saying we're a joke because we choose one way over the other is silly. it's pretty clear the US is generally trying to lighten its footprint in the whole region, finally realizing that everything we directly do there comes with huge strings attached.

not sure folks are making the connection, but dealing with china and an awakened Russia is where the US would now prefer to move its attention.

How sad is it that you are on here daily supporting terrorists and puppet states? It's embarrassing man. And I have no idea why you started posting here to begin with.

ah, the millennial playbook: let tweets do your thinking for you, drop the ball the first time you have to actually think for yourself, call everyone dumb before skulking home. well executed, my dude.

Letting them continue to fire is seriously degrading a major world shipping lane. Rerouting around Africa is bad for a number of reasons. Shipping companies aren't going to take the risk if they are allowed to keep attempting potshots.

So no, we can't continue to allow it.

I agree, of course, but I also find it fascinating how repetitive history is. We are currently doing the same kinds of algebra Churchill did post-WW2.

Who said we shouldn’t respond? Poster above called the US a joke for giving the Houthis warning. I’m sure it was a political comment but stupid nonetheless.

I would get out in front of that with a threat that I would be willing to follow through with. Namely, I reach out to Iran and tell them that for all intents and purposes, we view Hezbollah as Iran and any terrorist attack launched by Hezbollah against the US or its citizens will be viewed as an attack by Iran and all options would be on the table in response.
