am i the only one who sees this as less one sided than our media makes it out to be.
He admitted he doesn’t know much, but then goes on to say he understands why Hamas is slaughtering innocent women and children. Read between the lines. If it makes you feel better, he could be just an ignorant asshole.
Revenge and reprisals are cultural realities throughout the region.

It was like 12 hours ago and IDF has already killed something like 300 Palestinians in response. Including women and children. It's a terrible situation all around. Innocent people on both sides.

Hamas attacked and purposely targeted women and children. Israel responded, which is exactly what they should do to protect their citizens. Yes, innocent bystanders unfortunately get killed in war and it sucks. However, this isn’t a both sides thing. Israel has done nothing wrong. Hamas is at fault for the innocent lives lost.

you conveniently left out that Israel attacked Palestinians for decades first, flat stole their land and continued to do so, and Hamas responded.

I don't disagree with that. Israel needs a strong response and innocent lives unfortunately will be lost. Price of war.
It is a both/sides thing though. This isn't a one off first time incident. It's a conflict that's been going on for thousands of years. Everyone and no one is too blame generally speaking. Yes, todays battle was instigated by Hamas though.
The squad will do what they do. The far right will focus more on blaming Iran and Biden and Obama than they will the terrorists.
This Middle East whataboutism has gone on for hundreds of years, and decades in its current state. All in the name of religion and territorial claims based on religion.

Your argument is essentially humans were mean in the past, so they’re justified in their actions in the present. Even if the atrocities didn’t happen to them. I disagree. Past actions are not an excuse for current atrocities. If we don’t agree to that then we’re all justified in committing atrocities.

The mother f'er just gave them access to $6 billion in frozen assets. His Iranian negotiating team was full of Iranian agents. Appeasing Iran has been all Obama and Joe and they were told this would be the result. They are/were incompetent.
