Israel under attack from Hamas

Better there than here or in Israel... The Iranians are the only ones crazy enough to use nukes as soon as they have a deliverable effective set of weapons ... Waiting around until they perfect their systems is madness in its own right...
Better nowhere...
Suicidal madness to get anywhere near nukes.

With three years of basically no borders, a nuclear bomb in an Amazon truck delivery system is way too plausible...

Right. It's too far ....

The Iraq mission taxed the limits of the F-16 at the time, it was gutted to make it lighter and they had to fly low to the ground to avoid AD. Range has been improved for most US made planes using conformal tanks and air defense has also improved ... It would be tough to get anything other than stealth in there or maybe a huge missile barrage?

IAF getting the F-35 changes the game a bit but .. it's still too far away without refueling at least once . It could be done, maybe? If anyone could pull it off it would be the IAF.

They would probably need a B-2/B-21 or equivalent... Or go full stupid and send a nuke.
Israel and the US can most definitely hit Iran successfully. There is next to nothing Iran can do to stop it. This is why it’s been inexcusable to me that we’ve not seriously retaliated after all the times they’ve been involved in killing Americans.

That, unfortunately, I do agree with... Which is exactly the reason we should never let them come up with a weapon small enough to make that a reality.

US ... easily.

Israel without US, maybe. I'm talking about a surgical strike like 81.

You do understand the differences between nuclear power facilities and nuclear weaponry, right?
Yes, and also understand the possible result of reckless attacks upon nuclear facilities, which could turn the power facility into a weapon.

And you do know that Israel’s and the US special forces understand this as well right?

Bottom line: The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action was one of the most stupid and treacherous ideas in the history of foreign affairs and whatever progress they’ve made in the area of nuclear advancement needs to be eliminated entirely.

Here's an interesting interview from an expert

Do you think that if either this Israeli government or a successor government could address the Palestinian issue, there might be reason for hope in terms of a larger Middle East peace structure — especially with the prospect of Arab normalization and so forth?

It’s a long shot at best, but I refuse to give up on it. I’m a firm believer that it’s not just the Palestinians who need a Palestinian state, it’s Israel too. I have no illusions about the odds, and how long this could take and how difficult it would be and so forth. But I really do worry about the consequences of drift, about the idea of one-state “non-solution.” I really worry, not simply that you get a generation of even more radical Palestinians, but that it poses real challenges to Israel’s Jewishness or democratic status or both. I think that’s bad for Israel. I think it’s terrible for the U.S.-Israel relationship. I’m not naïve, but if I could paraphrase [Winston] Churchill, I think a two-state solution is the worst possible solution, except for all the others.

Not in Chicago my friend. Your progressivism yields some ugly fruit.
Exactly. If you watch the video until the end there are two police cruisers sitting right there and a policeman standing watching. The idiots are clearly breaking the law.

From:

So, @TheOriginalHappyGoat what's your point?

Can you not read? My post was literally only two words.

Update: Oh wait, they were arrested.

Cotton's comments go too far, telling people to take matters in their own hands and throw people out of the way.

But I am kinda surprised those cars in front didn't drive right up to the protesters and then just lay on the horn. Hell, I see people do that at stoplights where people don't turn right on read fast enough.

I doubt the charges and punishment are serious though.

Also, how is this not incitement of violence? Isn’t this where free speech crosses the line?

Chicago is the same city where a viral video spread on Saturday showing Hatem Abudayyeh, who heads the U.S. Palestinian Community Network, chanting "death to Israel" and "death to America" in Farsi with 300 activists.

So here is the deal, I think there is a growing discontent among a whole bunch of us with how our government and legal systems are failing to enforce laws. Be that going easy on repeat felons or things like this with protestors. At a certain point, if the government/legal system will not do its job, people will fill in the power vacuum.

The mob that showed up in Australia trying to get at the guy who stabbed that priest yesterday is what happens when people feel the system of justice is failing them. Courts and laws aren't in place to protect us from criminals, they are in place to protect them from us. Dragging some of these people by the scruff of their neck and beating the piss out of them in a few different cities would restore order. If the government doesn't want that to happen, they need to do their job.

Not specific or imminent. "Death to Joe Blow who lives at 345 Oak Street" is incitement.

But they did enforce the law. The idea that they just stood there and let these protesters do this is a false narrative.

It’s time for some whacko vigilante to start mowing these people down. We need someone to take one for the team & discourage people from feeling it’s safe to sit in the road. We teach or kids early on to stay off the roads when cars are coming.
Traffic was back to normal in 90 minutes. We are a society of spoiled brats if that's not quick enough.
the spoiled brats are the ones that think it’s ok to block traffic for 90 minutes while people miss work, medical appointments, funerals, flights, whatever the case may be. They need to start feeling some real pain for this.

Throw the book at them. I have no sympathy for them. I'm only attacking the falsehood that law enforcement did nothing, "because Chicago."

The Golden Gate bridge was blocked for 5 hours.

I'd like to see you blocked for 90 minutes when you're trying to get somewhere and have someone call you a spoiled brat because you complain about missing your meeting or flight.
