May’s buyout, should he leave for another job, starts at $5 million and decreases each of the next four years, from $4 million to $2 million to $1 million to $500,000. If he’s fired without cause, the university will owe him 70% of his remaining base salary

He is a Wolverine now so that ship has sailed. I bet he is such a Wolverine that he watched Red Dawn over and over yelling out with the American teen soldiers, "Wolverine!".
 
UK was recently turned down by some pretty big names and had to settle with a former player, so why would IU be able to attract a bigger name? This isn’t 35 years ago.
I think the expectations at UK and IU are much different. These two schools aren't fishing in the same pond. Coaching prospects wouldn't be the same people.
 
But no alpha male. No big dog. No one who could potentially ever become bigger than the program ever again. No one with a jaywalking citation on their resume.

Those are the Indiana administrators rules.

Myself, I spy females.

People who think too hard about their alpha-ness are likely Master-beta males.
