Today I asked a Jethro Tull fan if Jethro was the guitarist or the flute player.

He said Jethro Tull was the name of the band and looked at me like I was an idiot.

I lol'ed .... because this guy is a huge Jethro Tull fan and we had been talking music all day.

Jethro Tull ??? How?

Flautist.

Yep. I can't explain it....

other than the fact that I've simply not ever had any interest what so ever in this band. That's the only way I can explain it.

That's funny ..

I was 18 when I found out Marshall Tucker wasn't part of the band.

Embarrassing..

The questions are

do others think of you as a music snob?

If so then why do they consider you a music snob?

Are these questions you ask yourself (edit) ...

That was unfair. What I meant was I don't consider what other music snobs think of me because I, myself, am a music snob.

I still consider myself a music snob. Didn't knock me off my game because I'm too snobbish to think, if Jethro Tull ever mattered, or was original in the least, I would have known.

In fairness, I don't think of him as a music snob,

just a snob in general.

Sorry, that one was just laying out there, too easy. Can anyone from the Southside be considered a snob about anything? Pickup trucks? Flannel shirts? Shotguns? (you are the SHS'er, right?)
