All valid points, especially the last one. In the Spring of opportunity its cruise ‘n time again, the Third St-Indiana Ave-7th St-Jordan…excuse me, Eagleson Ave, dirty old man’s eye-candy circuit. Ain’t nobody gets hurt just wish ‘n for a taste of ‘dat sweet treat with her pink meat.Well in this particular case, the young man is from Ashdown Ark, pop 4,000
So...a fantastic campus with great nightlife and great dining, a spectacular lake and Brown County each a half hour away and the twentieth largest city in the country forty five minutes away...might be ok for him.
Oh, and this is the time of year cleavage makes it spring spectacular appearance.

The campus is not very impressive. Lexington has actually become a decent place over the years.Lexington is a shit hole The Ky campus is a shit hole.
It is beyond laughable they even mention those two words anymore. Academics haven't been a thing in 15 years and now they are also paid pros. I bet there wasn't one kid in all of d1 basketball academically ineligible last year. It's amazing how smart these kids got in the last 20 years. Lol.Comical NCAA is still calling these kids college athletes/ academics. Good for the kids , bad for college athletics.
your crazy, heading there tomm, great downtown, Keeneland, great restaurant's, will never out recruit them if the deciding factor is livability, as an example jeff Rubys or that shithole Zagreb's or whatever it's calledLexington is a shit hole The Ky campus is a shit hole.
Lexington and Btown are very different places. Btown is a big small town with a huge B10 school. I'm guessing Lexington has close to a population of 400k. To your point, many more options than Btown.your crazy, heading there tomm, great downtown, Keeneland, great restaurant's, will never out recruit them if the deciding factor is livability, as an example jeff Rubys or that shithole Zagreb's or whatever it's called
I'm not upset with it. We are NOT UK, Duke or FL anymore and academics don't matter (we are not top there anymore either). Agree completely and if someone is lukewarm, move on and don't burn a ton of time and resources because our value proposition isn't great. We arguably can't even get the best coach anymore.I'm not sure you do get it, or I don't think you'd have made the post. My point is, if you're entering the portal, you probably are going to listen to multiple offers and make multiple visits. We are a good program and name, but the fact of the matter is we are in a complete rebuild. The recent interest I've heard is that Duke and Florida are interested, you don't think he should "listen" to them. Maybe he wants to play for a title? Why be upset with him for that? We're going to have to prove ourselves and work hard to get commitments from guys who the Duke, Florida and UK's of the world are interested in.
someone called Lexington a shithole, I hate UK, but that's just not close to being accurate. If the location of the campus was the deciding factor for a recruit. Bloomington loses 98 percent of the timeLexington and Btown are very different places. Btown is a big small town with a huge B10 school. I'm guessing Lexington has close to a population of 400k. in btown if you walk 20 minutes you will probably be looking at the same thing as when you started your journey. I get the nostalgia for one's school. but most basketball players aren't selecting backwoods Bloomington over a decent city.Oh fun, a pi$$ing match between Bloomington and Lexington. If you aren’t a fat a$$ you can walk anywhere you need to be in btown in about 20 minutes. In Lexington it might take your fat a$$ 20 minutes to get through the mall to Rupp.
Such an unbiased take. Bloomington is nice. No doubt about that. But it’s really not that much better, if at all, than many campuses.Getting any kid to visit Btown is always a good thing.
Not saying these kids make their decision based off of a campus or facilities, but Btown is so much nicer than most of these campuses.
Well rest assured Kurt, these student athletes aren’t real concerned about the location of the campus. If it was remotely even a factor Purdue would finish dead last every year.someone called Lexington a shithole, I hate UK, but that's just not close to being accurate. If the location of the campus was the deciding factor for a recruit. Bloomington loses 98 percent of the time
Denied.Such an unbiased take. Bloomington is nice. No doubt about that. But it’s really not that much better, if at all, than many campuses.
I agree when you say basketball players and the city. For students, I'm sure I am biased but but IUs campus (outside the city and maybe state). I've not been to Madison in the legacy B1G schools but have lived or visited frequently most of the rest of them. Architecture and setting blows away most of the 1960s brick cookie cutter buildings you see at most of the B1G.in b

What makes Bloomington better? What are the factors? Are we talking power conferences only? Is it the bar scene? Is is the actual physical campus beauty? Buildings? Weather? Setting, ie urban, residential, etc?Denied.
Unless you want to list your campuses you’ve seen so I can refute.
List the campuses, college towns, cities you’ve seen and we’ll go from there. I’m not working backwards for you. What makes Bloomington better? What are the factors? Visiting this weekendLamar Wilkerson is saying yes to IU
He will do that this weekend! Time to break out the cashSounds like it’s all but done but he wants to see campus first
So, you’re advocating for regional chains over the local hole-in-the wall place? I don’t think that’s what most people prefer. For instance, if I want good fried chicken, I’m going to drive to Stone’s over in Milhousen or to the Chicken House down by Sellersburg not to The Eagle up in Indy, or over in Cincinnati, or down in Louisville. It just doesn’t compare. People want unique experiences not homogenized ones.your crazy, heading there tomm, great downtown, Keeneland, great restaurant's, will never out recruit them if the deciding factor is livability, as an example jeff Rubys or that shithole Zagreb's or whatever it's called
Those are all garbage. Better now? lol. What makes Bloomington better? What are the factors? Are we talking power conferences only? Is it the bar scene? Is is the actual physical campus beauty? Buildings? Weather? Setting, ie urban, residential, etc?
Here are a few.
UNC Chapel Hill
UVA
Miami of Ohio
CU - Boulder
Tennessee Knoxville
Clemson
UGA
University of Florida
University of Wisconsin
Arizona
UCLA
USC
These are just the one’s I have been too off the top of my head. Again, a bit subjective. No doubt. IU Bloomington is nice. But to put it on the pedestal through crimson glasses is a bit biased.
Williams?Back to Williams.
Sounds like new schools have entered the race, and now IU may still get a visit, but isn't leading.
You have to look at the bigger picture-the whole state is a shithole.Lexington is a shit hole The Ky campus is a shit hole.
pUKe is a 'Bait and Tackle Store' compared to IU. Lexington is not bad.your crazy, heading there tomm, great downtown, Keeneland, great restaurant's, will never out recruit them if the deciding factor is livability, as an example jeff Rubys or that shithole Zagreb's or whatever it's called

I hear West Laffy finnally got a Taco Bell. That will replace the shiveldogger at Speedway Gas on State St as the best restaurant in town. If you switch your NIL from Speedway shiveldogger gift cards to Taco Bell gift cards...look out!Taco Bell?
When you get outside lexington, the horse country is beautiful and some of the farms themselves are fantastic.pUKe is a 'Bait and Tackle Store' compared to IU. Lexington is not bad.
I wouldn't go out of my way for any fried chicken, if you think the chicken house is fine dining, enjoy. actually, not a big fan of Rubys, Tonys is much better in lex. that Zagreb's does suck thoughSo, you’re advocating for regional chains over the local hole-in-the wall place? in routeAnyone saying Lexington is a shithole has never been to opening day for the spring meet at Keeneland. You want to talk about scenery. Makes a middle-aged man like me blush (and feel really old). Wowzers.
I’ve been to Tony’s in Indy and it’s good, but once again, you can find them all over. I enjoyed Zagreb the last time I went but it’s been awhile.I wouldn't go out of my way for any fried chicken, if you think the chicken house is fine dining, enjoy. actually, not a big fan of Rubys, Tonys is much better in lex. that Zagreb's does suck though
Bloomington is the best but I am biased as I am a 1994 graduate of Kelly and I love all Brown County has to offer. I just love Bloomington. That being said Michigan and Wisconsin are pretty nice as well as Georgia/Athens and Alabama/Tuscaloosa. Purdue has got to be the ugliest campus in the US and is a complete hole.Denied.
