According to Alec Lasley, Enright is visiting today and Dix concluding his visit today also.
It's not just me. Its been two weeks. How did Purdue get a guy two days after they finished? I am not saying he will not get guys but with as fast as the portal works two weeks is a good amount of time. I will sit back and wait.
OK, so 1 yesterday with Conwell, Dix got to town last night, and Enright today--so we have completed 1 visit and people complaining we do not have a complete roster--with HALF of CBB player in the portal
I would welcome his commitment. He's the type of guy that Banner is talking about, and he has experience with DeVries. It doesn't look like any of his Drake 2024-25 roster followed CDD to WV.
1. Tucker DeVries is #8, so we have a Top 20 guy.

3. What's top secret about the staff? It has been announced on Twitter, and also on this page. He sat next to two of them this weekend.
4. What is the problem he has had assembling his "mediocre" staff?
5. Why does attending this past weekend's State Championships not count as a public appearance?
Patience. Even if he DOES strike out on these three recruits this week, there are plenty of guys still in the portal. According to Drake's message board, one of Darian DeVries greatest strengths was his ability to evaluate and find value in players that others misjudged.
CDD built Drake from the ground-up, Archie simply kept the ball rolling at Dayton. Yes, there's a difference. CDD rebuilt WV from nothing in one year, despite losing 2 of his top 3 scorers before January.
People thought IU was getting a head start in the portal by hiring their coach first when it clearly didn’t turn out that way.
Also, if I was a high school kid, I'd wait to see how the portal shakes out before I picked my destination.
That also may be wrong. Your only measure seems to be signing players quickly. I have no idea if IU got a head start, but if they did, it would have been in doing the work to identify the talent.

Things move fast pace in these things. Got to get guys you like to visit as soon as possible. Mack and Riley got to get scheduled. Bidunga too if true we are after him. Too much speculation on little facts with some of these. There are like 10 guys they must get at least. I bet PU got Cluff without a visit.
Yeah but if most are seniors or grads, it shouldn't affect a frosh that much as not many become starters anyway.

All 3 would be good pick ups and a season of learning along with Sisley would help. Plus try to get Bidunga and IU has a decent core the following season along with 26' recruiting.
The staffing/roster concerns appear to be causing you a lot of stress. Try being confident that it will all work out and we will be in the tournament next season.
What do you mean by no public appearances? What do you mean by mediocre staff? And i don’t think we struck out on Enright, I think we have someone we like better. Let it play out maybe, at least for a couple weeks?
Are you are assuming they are not scheduled or not working to get them scheduled? Remember CDD had this exact same situation a year ago at WV, he brought in 8 transfers and 4 freshman and he was hired there on March 24. I think he knows how to navigate this WAY more than any of us. When he got the Drake job, he did have 5 kids that remined from the year before, but only 2 that actually played (3 played a combined 12 games and 16 minutes). He took that job on March 29, I trust him to be able to put a roster together, he has done in 2 previous times.

I'm with Seyton that it's interesting to hear some of this stuff, but all those guys got knocked down several rungs. Pretty unimpressive.
I’d tell you to chill, but those words have already been used. We have no idea what’s happening and who CDD actually wants. Pretty sure he wasn’t interested in Plan C , nor were most of us. He brought the best player on his team, so Plan A. We have no idea what’s happening with Plan B. Pretty positive Plan D will work out. So I’ll say it. Chill.

My goodness people, what a bunch of whiny baby Chicken Littles you guys are. There are good players entering the portal every single day. We could strike out on several and we’ll still be fine. I swear some of you just like being miserable.
I'm picturing Scott Dolson using a secret police force to go around the athletic dept and catch anyone on X tweeting info for clout.
