How do transgender women (biological men) live with themselves . . .

Wow. Pickleball and disc golf. Where is the mall walking thread?

A cart for disc golf? Dear Lord.

It’s kind of interesting how rec time is changing. Few months ago I had a couple buddies take me to lunch to try to get me to join their country club. They were going to waive all membership fees so all you had to pay was the monthly which amounts to hundreds of dollars. No time for five hour rounds of golf. Or playing poker for hours. Times are changing

I have no issue..... We play in 3 hrs. Then drink for 2. Wrong club if it takes 5 hrs to play.

when they beat biological women in sports?

When I swam in high school, I didn't make the cut off for the state meet. I easily could have made it for girl's. Who would cheer me for taking off my boy's Speedo and putting on a girl's Speedo and going for the state championship?
How soon before men compete in the woman’s Little Five? I just looked at IU’s tranny rules and it must be allowed.

I carry my discs in a cloth grocery bag. I have about 20 discs but carry maybe 10: My 2-3 best drivers, 2 best putters, and a few midrange. Discs have different characteristics: Some fly straighter than others, some have a reliable bend which fits certain holes better, and of course some have better distance. I have aced a few holes over the years. I'm a backhand thrower. Sometimes when I need a left-to-right fade and not much distance I go left hand backhand, which is more reliable than my right hand forehand.

Disc golf doesn't hurt my back, but sometimes I feel it in my knees. The twist on a long drive does it, I guess.

Anyone who thinks there isn’t an advantage hasn’t watched young kids play soccer or hockey. The girls at young ages are just as fast, but the physical nature differences are already showing.

By eight, even the shorter boys are running faster in many cases. And the aggressive nature is highly evident. It’s a mental advantage, but just a physical one
That's why now that I'm over 60 and retired, I play pickleball. Both the senior men and women can beat the shit out of me equally.
Is that why you’ve been less active here? You’ve become a baller!

Nice. My forehad is hot garbage b/c I'm left handed playing right handed. Working on a left hand backhand. I do love a good anny/flipping turnover though.

I've got a cart b/c my back sucks. I carry about 20 but that's b/c I have the cart and every round after the 5th hole is practice anyway these days.

for @BradStevens, flame away.

My daughter couldn't beat a senior citizen para-athlete in her future natural life, if you let her pick the event. Sweetest and most emotionally intelligent girl in the world, but got her mother's eye - hand coordination.

That said, if she were as athletically competitive as my son, I'd have a serious problem with this. And I don't have much in life I get that worked up about. But it is basically equal to allowing extensive hormone drugs for nobody but 2 competitors.

This will never be my personal fight, but I'm completely against the idea of tranny men ever competing as women, and anyone that disagrees can go **** off for extreme stupidity.
What perplexes me on the subject is a lot of women are OK with this.

The reaction to any sense of commonality of this scenario is going to be the elimination of gendered sports, which will leave many girls out in the cold athletically. I'm not saying it's inevitable. It may very well be a phase. However, schools will do a lot of things to cut programs don't generate profit and don't meet any common cause goal.

Of course by the time anything like that would reach a tipping point, we'll be battling robotic/prosthetic advances in humans as a whole.

There typically isn't much of a difference until puberty kicks in. A lot of that is based on how they're raised up to that point, various forms of expectations, training etc. If you ever watch larger training groups, at younger ages the girls keep up.

There just aren't as many girls who put that kind of time into sports as boys, which becomes evident in other ways. The physical side of this can look pretty until boys start to get into puberty.

The skill side of it, which isn't really part of this discussion, shows up in how wide the gap is between the top players on a girls' team vs. the back end of their rotation vs. the boys. It's why there are more impact freshman and sophomore girls on varsity teams than on the boys side. Girls who aren't stars tend to not put in as much time into their game as boys who aren't stars.

You should join the club. Does it have a pool? Let your kids find out your membership number and watch that hundreds per month add a zero at the snack bar. Pop it in the child support column of your budget spreadsheet
Lol. It does indeed have a pool. I would if I had time on weekends which I don’t and actually was decent at golf, which I’m not, despite considerable effort

I think the best solution is the Boston Marathon's solution.

There is a men's division, a woman's division, and a very tiny intersex division. 3 separate competitions. Of course, the fans only care about two of them, so the trans people end up not getting much attention.

I'm talking at the scholastic and college levels. That likely will never be part of a budget.

Well, just like ball golf (yep)...where i should literally carry only a sandwedge, 7 iron, 4 iron and putter....I go whole hog. B/c i think it will make a difference.

So 20ish discs and a bag is probably 20ish lbs. Plus large water bottle. Maybe more. Don't care anymore though. Got a cart. Did I mention my back is a disaster area.

That's because you are in Slum Louis. I'm still on the golf waitlist up here. And the demand is wild.

Limit to one practice swing and pickup if the hole is making a mess. You should be able to finish quicker - besides you are drinking and eating while you go
no i'm genuinely done with golf. i spent a considerable amount of my 30s devoted to it and as a competitive person never got good enough to really have fun. i have no idea why i couldn't get better but i couldn't. i even took lessons and when the pro would say "do you feel how" i never felt anything

They keep up, but they aren't nearly as physical. Haven't gotten into basketball yet because my oldest has no interest, but in soccer and hockey, the boys are materially more physical. They use their body, even though checking is not allowed, use their hands and body to create space or pressure in soccer, etc.

There's a pretty big difference just in terms of their mental state. I think sports like Baseball is where I've seen girls keep up the best. We had a girl play with us through 7th or 8th grade and she was solid, but once guys were throwing sliders and fastballs with movement, she migrated to softball where she was all-district.

Fair. I live like 5 mins away so I'll go over and play 9 (or 6) between meetings on a random Tuesday. Weekends have gotten tougher as the kids get older. Friday afternoons starting about noon are peak times. I'm always amazed at the amount of 'working' aged guys that are out there playing full rounds middle of the day during the week.

It's a non-binary (gender) division, not an "intersex" division.

Trans people aren't intersex. And intersex people are not typically trans. Intersex is a scientifically based, medical condition.

No shit. My ex stoker’s cousin is at centene and a member and plays twice a week during the day. I don’t get it.

Oh you sweet summer child. Wait until you're almost 50 and your body learns to hate you with the heat of a thousand suns.

Plus, I like the woods. There's nobody there.
That’s why I love indoor. Two 20 minute halfs. Not long enough to get sore. Just have to pick the right league

I'm one of those guys, but a lot of the time is because during the summer, we have a lot of leagues that will start mid afternoon and then half the course is shut down and it takes forever if you get behind someone that doesn't know what they're doing or doesn't have good golf etiquette (I.E. let faster players play through).

Are you going to try to construct a course on the Mountain?

There is no "letting." If they play slow, you play through them.
