Trying not to sound too pessimistic, but that could be the death knell. They absolutely have to get two runs minimum out of that. Hope I’m wrong, dammit.
We get the bases loaded with no outs and then the Ks start coming. This is getting ridiculous. This is twice in this game that we have failed to come through in the clutch when we had scoring opportunities. Our starting pitching has been a no-show in the two postseason tournaments so far, and there is no tomorrow unless we can start getting something going.

It was bad enough being down 4-0, but this probably put a fork in it. Gordon has been charged with 5 earned runs in just 2.1 innings so far.
That last home run leads to a pitching change for iU. Lefty Braden Scott replaces Gordon.

Naturally, three Ks in the inning gave us almost no chance to do anything in the inning. Another scoring chance going by the wayside.
