End the Madness Now

This is exactly what we need. Dozens of future KGB agents a week with American citizenship. The whole of the US govt needs to wake the **** up and address actual national security threats.

Russia is in trouble when alternative energy grows up. Too much of their economy is based on fossil fuels. That’s why Putin is so aggressive now- he knows their window is short to get back on the conversation of world powers.

By the time these kids grow up, I doubt they’ll be as strong as they are now. And, I’d suspect the next US administration will cripple them through a variety of methods for what they’ve done- and are still doing. Mostly through sanctions.

I gotta hand it to the Russians. They’re aggressive and they’ve figured out how to exploit us. I guess when you have no moral compass, you can basically do anything you want. Sounds similar to how a certain president behaves... Seriously, their world views aren’t much different.

I have been avoiding the board for awhile but your entire first paragraph is quite possibly very wrong. Most of the "green" energy and technology that we rely on is built with specific precious metals that are mined in a not so environmentally friendly way.

China is currently sitting on the largest supply of these precious metals. Also topping the list are Russia and Brazil.

The Russians seem to be situated well no matter which direction we go. The U.S. on the other hand....

That’s where we are right now. An incredible amount of change/advancement can happen in a year- let alone 20 years.

Good point about the current tech.

I’d bet we’ve got plenty of ways to cripple them. Chief among them being sanctions. Their (stolen) money isn’t good unless they can launder it somewhere. Ask Trump. His properties were VERY popular with the Russian crowd.

How much does it really matter? All of that rare earth metal and Russia still double-dipped hard and has lagged our growth of a much larger economy

Sure, but that doesn't deal with this very serious national security issue.

So Trump was right about something? Wow!

Right about what? About Syria, yes. Trump wants to limit immigration, that's his concern. If he was concerned about what I've discussed he could sign an order directing CBP officers to refuse entry to all pregnant women without residency.

is there any reason why i or anyone should give one hoot whether Russian women are having babies in the US?

as for the citizenship thing, again, is there any reason why i or anyone should give one hoot.

i'm thinking we have a zillion more pressing things to be concerned about.

A national security issue because rich Russians are having babies that are US citizens? That's a wee bit of a stretch.

I'm not a fan of this.... but not really high on my issue list... nor really even on it.
