Did Gunn even play in the 2nd half? I know he played a little in the 1st half but do recall seeing him in the 2nd half

Yeah, I don't feel like TG's D has always been on point, but overall I didn't think he did a bad job on that guy, he was just unconsious in the first half. I was glad to hear that CMW told him to deny him the ball and I wish he'd been even more aggressive with that, and I hated the lazy switch on the last shot and allowing MR to pick him up, which I think is exactly what MS wanted, but he came through.
Agree I remember another thread saying that we need that guy but if we had him, everyone would be bitching about the the step back 3 he takes at the end of the game instead of driving and trying to draw a foul against a foul prone defender (Reneau) forgetting all about how many 3’s he hit in the 1st half
I think he was going to drive until he kind of lost the ball. I think that flustered him and made him lose track of the clock so he went with the jumper. I said this morning I thought not driving was a mistake. Try and get to the line with 1 to tie and 2 to win. Those are good odds... if you're not IU!
I don't know if you're just having fun and putting folks on, or what. But as a fan for more than 45 years and a great admirer of Woody since watching him as a freshman, it pains me to say he might very well be the worst coach in the B1G. He's playing an NBA style, create your own shot kind of offense without remotely having the players capable of doing that. The team's basketball fundamentals and IQ are just awful. There's no consistent level of effort. Woody comes from the Knight basketball tree but there's little to no motion or screening. The D is mediocre and there's little toughness. Guys are regressing or not getting better. The B1G is going to be very tough game in and game out. Are we ready and able for that?
Woody is at his peak. Time to move on from him after the season is over.

If he really was just a bridge 100% move on after the season. The longer you hang onto him the greater chance things can head south and then its too late. You are back in blow it all up rebuild mode once again. But IU never makes the change quick enough they kept both crean and archie several years to long imo.
He doesn’t. Scott Drew always ends up on lists by the media but for jobs like UK, KU etc he’s never on their lists. He’s a strange guy who fits where he’s at imho.
Another F4 is a pretty tall order. I'd say with where he has his team already, he's going to be in demand. Hate to think about him winding up at at Lville or UM because our timelines didn't align, but that seems quite possible.

.. you need to adjust your archaic view of college basketball.. being a IU fan a tad longer than what you stated I learned long ago that lightning rarely strikes twice in the same spot... IU was fortunate to have things fall in place and RMK was the right coach at the right time... the landscape of college sports is changing and you better accept it. For this portal era... CMW is the right coach at the right time
