All the low rated automatic qualifiers have a big impact when you sit where IU sits as does the number of Big10 teams that are higher ranked. You just got slapped by a team not that highly rated on a “neutral” kinda home floor to confirm that your ranking is as it should be.

If auto qualifier is below you it leaves another team above you that needs an at large. If auto qualifier is above you then one less team above you that needs an at large.

McDermott is 60 but the previous 4 seasons he has two sweet 16s and an elite 8. Throw in another first round win with those. All at Creighton.

I’ve actually defended BM’s offense, which might surprise a few on this thread, but my point is - not many modern people will like it. This has already been the obvious negative viewpoint by much of IU Nation - watching paint dry.

Some on here have been blinded by something. My wife knows more than you about the level of coach needed to be successful at IU.

None of you would put down a $1000 bet on McCollum being able to handle a blue-blood program that he’s never been close to in his entire career. Coaching is one out of a million demands at Indiana. 3 recent coaches failed at multiple of these demands - why? Because they had no experience at this level. At least Cig tasted the bigness of this level at Alabama and Pitt, so he knew what it would require. But, McCollum hasn’t a clue what he’s in for if he gets this job.

I don't think you have a clue about what Ben McCollum knows or doesn't know about the "requirements" of coaching at IU. If reports are true...and this guy is a finalist, then your argument is with Dolson....not anyone on this board. Blue blood? At IU? That went out with The Bangles and Dirty Dancing.
