Doctored Evidence

I appreciate your kind words, but he's right that I am an asshole (although I'm trying to work on that), and whether or not I make it in the real world is still very much an open question.
"Asshole" and "making it" are such relative terms. I'm content with my asshole status relative to those I associate with. I'd like to have done a better job of making it but that wasn't in the cards, and relative to many of my peers I'm doing okay. I suppose if I aspired to being a "better" person I might want to re-examine my asshole status, but I don't. And for making it, I'd have to raise my station in life several fold for it to make a big difference in my life -- which ain't gonna happen -- so the best I can hope for is being reasonably comfortable and safe. I can live with that.
