There was some controversy over land prices. There was a newspaper article that suggested that some with connections made a profit.
But Monroe County property owners, at least the ones I know, opposed it. I live close enough that my land was surveyed. So I know people. We haven't talked about it, maybe now they wouldn't have opposed it. That MAY happen with mid states too.

I have no problem with government making decisions for the good of all. People opposing 69 pointed out that upgrading 41 would be a lot cheaper. That may have been correct. The people opposing Mid-States may have a similar point. So the question would become, who profits and who benefits. Does that offset the people who lose?
