My first job after graduating from IU was a teaching and coaching job in Whiteland. I taught and coached Bob Glidden's son, Rusty, when he was in the 7th grade. Played several Saturday morning basketball pickup games with Bob at the high school that school year, 1980-81. Visited his home a couple of times and he showed me his garage where he and his wife worked on his cars. He did it all himself. He was a very nice man and I'm sorry to hear of his passing.
