Deranged?

This is probably the right thing to do, given the circumstances. But don’t fool yourself into believing that Trump didn’t blatantly violate the law here.

Of all the legal actions taken against Trump, this one was pretty easily the most defensible one. Trump’s strategy was just to find ways to delay it until after the election…on the chance that he’d win and put the DOJ into an intractable position.

And this strategy was successful. But only a total tankie would take that to mean Trump was unfairly charged.
